From what I gather the usual release is every 2 weeks however the last few issues have been released every third week and the next one will be the same. So basically the waiting period has increased by one week for each chapter for no apparent reason.

you know shonen jump stopped publishing here...i had a subscription from about vol.1 issue 5...
then all of a sudden late last year...they said that they would solely be online...
and i miss my shonen mags to...:-_-
it might have something to do with buyers and popularity...hell the best buy has like one little shelf of anime now...when they had a two sided aisle about 5yrs ago...people just ain't buying anymore so translators take their time...
but, what can you say...they do bless us in the end...

People are just things guys.
Life is empty and meaningless & we are meaning making machines.
What's more to be said?
Re: Gantz 371 Discussion/372 Prediction Thread
I wonder if those gantz aliens are even mortals at all...

Ill bet they are something like the 100 point aliens.
Since they don't view themselves as gods either, I imagine that's a hit that they are mortal.

The problem is that it wasn't the point from the beginning. Who cares about where the humans came from. We just wanted to know about Gantz origins and why it was on Earth, which purpose it had. And the explanation was "we felt like doing it but we don't care about humans or the Earth". Just a intergalactic trolling after all.

Not to mention it alienates readers for Oku to throw his personal opinions about life into this. I dont want to know what Okus religious views are stick to gantz
Re: Gantz 371 Discussion/372 Prediction Thread
I dont thing the purpose of the revived characters were based soley on who was a fan. and it was aimed strictly at Kei. each revived person represented parts of kei's maturity, if i may, over the course of the series. tits was revived, she was his firsts pair of breasts he ever saw for real. the tomb raider girl was the first person he had sex with. the old man was the first i believe to call kei a hero/leader. and began his maturity as the leader to practice so they could do survive and help people survive. so considering the end of the chapter with this in mind how else was he going to make kei act?
Re: Gantz 371 Discussion/372 Prediction Thread
I think it fits Gantz's nihilistic theme pretty well. Kei, katou & everyone's reaction is kind of weak and anti-climatic. in fact gantz has been kind of boring for awhile now. This'll be a strange lead in for a huge fight/finale. It begs the question, what's the point anymore.
Re: Gantz 371 Discussion/372 Prediction Thread
I got the impression that kei was more of a shot to kato. He also saw her naked as soon as kurono and saved her from being raped. To boot he did have feelings for her and were going to live together.
I don't see why everyone is complaining or overall so surprised about the gantzter's reactions. Don't the reactions make complete sense with what they have seen and have been told? A big deal of the issue is that perhaps they see the aliens as more than what they are (simply different lifeforms from humans) and think of them as actual divine beings. Still, even in the most optimistic scenarios they are an objectively more advanced race with far more intellect and perhaps comprehension of the universe itself. In either scenario it makes perfect sense that people would react the way they have as they have been told they are but soulless atoms with nothing to make them actual individuals. Not even extreme atheism suggests we are not actual individuals (from what I gather a big point of the whole thing is asserting your individuality, something which would be plain impossible and utterly pointless if the points the aliens are bringing are taken seriously) for that matter. So we have the gantzters in a very emotional moment at the climax of the way right after being on the verge of extinction and then aliens, whose mere presence invokes emotions so powerful in humans it causes them to cry with tears of blood, tell them there is no meaning to anything ever under no plausible idea or philosophy (mostly the point I brought up in an earlier post which can be summed up with the scenario of someone who rapes babies being objectively the same as the guy who saves the world from poverty, hunger and AIDS) and right then proceeds to revive people in front of anyone with random matter only to kill them to make a point. I don't see how the responses the humans there have given are anything but perfectly coherent with the extremity of the scenario they have been presented with. If anything what would have made more sense is that they react exactly like they did but sooner and also have attacked the aliens sooner.
Re: Gantz 371 Discussion/372 Prediction Thread
Their reactions are coherent with the situation and I found it to be boring and anti-climactic. The gantzers look negative & pathetic.
I am wondering where it will go next though, after taking it this low.

right and all of that sounds like a religious view. Okus religious view. I think that isnt a good idea to force his openions on us by means of a story when we just wanted better and more realistic answers to all this. This whole arc has just felt like a major troll. Like Oku was dared to ruin his manga with this whole arc

Even if it was a religious view, so what? Oku is just a person, whatever he writes is always going to be influenced by his own views. This is not just an oku thing, anything author in history has their work influenced by their own views. And it makes sense. A book written by a religious person will have in some form religious undertones, a book written by a socialist will have socialist undertones, a book written by a capitalist will have capitalist undertones. Of course the degree can vary but this is something you can see basically everywhere. I don't think he is forcing anything in particular for that matter, he is just like any other mangaka telling his story. The manga has been precisely like this for precisely as long as it has run, the only difference is that before the constant nihilism and god not existing thing was used in a more positive manner while now it is used basically to kick the main characters in their spiritual groin. Still, the whole thing is not about giving us some profound spiritual message from superior beings, oku as a human being could never deliver that. This particular section of the manga is not even over yet, we still have yet to see where exactly oku is going with this.
Re: Gantz 371 Discussion/372 Prediction Thread
that'd be cool if the gantzers lost and it became a new manga like planet of the apes.
