Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
Does the winner of the Golden Future Cup this year has been announced?
I see Hirakata Masahiro participated in the Golden Future Cup 2008 with Kurogane, but he has other works too. Can anyone tell me all of them? Thanks!

I can't find if anyone said this yet, but in that ad saying Volumes 31 and 32 of HXH were coming out, Togashi says the movie was based on a name he wrote 10 years ago that he thought was never even going to see the light of day, and he's amazed it's finally getting presented as the basis for a movie.
As far as I know, people were saying Togashi had nothing to do with the movie.

So... Togashi has jumped on the bandwagon too, huh?? can't say I'm surprised. Although it's more indirect compared to the others. Now I can't wait to see if Kubo wants to join in too. Seriously, just seeing Kubo trying to one-up 2 legends on the big screen should be interesting.

Huh? Kubo already one-upped everyone with a Hell verse. Which is by far the only good filler movie based on any series.

So this came from ANN twitter today:
Quote:
Shonen Jump did not announce when Reborn/Koisome Momiji will end. @manganewsjapon tweeted a personal prediction, not news of an announcement
So yup, Chusetto, seems they just took it from manganews.. And then it just spreaded like it was the official word..

Not exactly. People didn't assume it as an official word; of course we know better. It's just that the likelihood of that happening is great considering the number of new series starting and the Reborn! is entering its climax declaration.

Also Naruto had an Climax declaration, which means that the Manga is nearly by the End.
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
Naruto's was somewhat different from Reborn!'s. Naruto's was only with its editor's side-comment inputs (If that's what it's called), but Reborn's was on the cover. Naruto was predicted to end in 2014 though, by Kishimoto himself.

Official announcements are never made this early. The three new series announcements are not official either. We always get new series announcements, endings, and cancellation news a few weeks before Weekly Jump make an announcement. The news about Reborn is no different.

The three new series announcements are official. They're already in the preview for next issue info right before the ToC in the magazine.
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
I think Kaiten just meant that leaked information is not to be confused with official announcements. Those series are not yet officially announced. They will be once JUMP is officially released, which would be 5th November.
So while JUMP has not officially announced that REBORN! will end we have some information on the course it will most probably take. (That includes not only information from issue #48's cover and preview for the color pages in issue #50 but also the unofficially leaked information from an insider on 2ch! I think Zeromcd mentioned him some pages ago... [edit: yes, #219 of this thread])
Sorry if I'm mistaken, Kait. :cookiehand

When the new series announcements were posted to Mangahelpers (and livejournal) there had been no publicly available, sourced, official announcement. The preview page had not been posted yet. Sometimes, for new series, it is never posted. Technically the news will not be official until issue 49 goes on sale this coming Monday. The issue that preview was taken from is not yet on sale in Japan, but leaked to the internet along with pirated manga raws.

Alright, for those who still have their doubts about REBORN! I got my hands on a preview pic for issue #50:
http://i47.tinypic.com/33ype6q.jpg
Here's what it says:
Big Gathering of the REBORN! Characters!!
Super Massive Color Pages!!
So not only is it another CP in this short amount of time but they make a huge deal out of it. (Character Gathering & Volume of the CP)
