Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012-2013] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
Man, seeing the Haikyu!! anniversary makes me happy for Furudate. I thought he deserved better with Yotsuya so it's sweet he's finally getting recognition. Also, kinda looking forward to World Trigger. I'm almost ashamed to admit it but after I read Rilienthal I thought "I kinda want more of what this guy's got". So I'm curious as to how his style has changed lol

Now I'm really confused. Not only is Mukou Mizu-kun absent from the Issue 11 preview, but the front cover too. I thought all oneshots were supposed to be given prior notice on the preview, or at least placed somewhere on the front cover, but not just stuck on the ToC at random.
Was it a last-minute decision to include Mukou Mizu-kun here?
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012-2013] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
It's a filler replacement for Bleach/Gintama's share of the pages in the magazine.
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012-2013] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
It's not an overly rare thing to happen, but it is pretty abrupt in how last minute it seems to have been.
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012-2013] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
Mikou Mizu-kun is twice? pag.363 and 463?
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012-2013] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
Well since it was not planned it is normal to be abrupt.
Nice rank for Beelzebub this week. Orherwise not much big surprise wrt previous weeks.
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012-2013] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
I heard that Sorachi's recovering from the norovirus he had, pissing blood, and has a flu on top of all of that. Maybe that's why Gintama was yanked at the last minute, cause with all of that shit going on, I can only imagine that the stock he has built up is getting low if it isn't already nearly rock bottom. (I can sympathize since I've been in the hospital, had the flu and been having nasty migraines all within the last week.)
....or he needed more time to work on the color page. I wonder what's the occasion? Considering Gin didn't get one for it's movie announcement OR it's seventh anniversery, I wonder what makes the next chapter suddenly worth giving a color page to?

It's only 16p long, could be two chapters. One chapter to cover for Bleach, another for Gintama.
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012-2013] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
It's not the first time a oneshot has been split into two parts in the magazine.
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012-2013] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
As for Mukoumizu-kun:
Yupp, there's two one-shots this issue. (Explicitly says so on the author column of the TOC.) One is the version that had been an entry for the Akatsuka Prize, the other is a brand new story.
And please could we call it "Mukoumizu" without the blank in between. That's a common family name in Japan.^^
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012-2013] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
so there are two oneshots a old and a brand new (different?) one by the same, each around 16 pages long?
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012-2013] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
Reminds me of Kusuo Saiki's pre-serialisation stuff that'd pop up now and then with new material, so maybe that's a good sign for Mukoumizu in itself.
Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012-2013] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4
what it says on the page about the absence of bleach?

Both, Kubo and Sorachi, came down with the flu and were thus not able to work on their manuscripts, which caused for a break this week.
Both works are scheduled to continue their serialization in issue #12.
Other than that just stuff like "Thanks for reading", "Sorry for the inconvenience", "Keep up your support" and whatnot.
