HXH has some downright broken combination, like Novu + Meleoron = instant kill on anything. I tend to view them as the said character need to do something cool against an unimportant foe. If you go with the 'abilities have to be reasonable' general guideline, there is nothing reasonable about taking X damage and return 10X damage to your opponent. For that matter, just taking X damage and be able to return X damage back is already pretty darn cheap because it's just an extra source of damage with no drawback on top of your regular damage. If you fight someone who hits you so hard that you just flat die, you're already screwed anyway. Against anyone who isn't strong to kill you in one hit, you basically get your damage + his damage for free!
Re: What is the weak point of Kurapika?
His hotheadedness (dafuq?) He easily sometimes lose his temper when other characters pissed him about the extinction of the Kuruta Clan.
His focus while the battle is on going will be lost. :P
Re: What is the weak point of Kurapika?
Kuroro taunted Kurapika and even though Kuroro didn't comply with Kurapika's demand, Kurapika refrained from killing him. Kuroro then realised that Kurapika's "weakness" is that he places a higher priority on protecting his friends than on revenge killing. Since Kurapika is tied to Gon and Killua, he's a lot more vulnerable than simply being sole operator who only looks out for himself.

You're right .. But Killua and Gon are no longer as weak as when they were at Yorkshin! Moreover, even Leorio has learned nen.
There is still the weak point of Kurapika?

They are stronger (especially Killua, who is probably able to OHKO any human when charged) but I don't think that would make them immune to being captured again. Gon got some very valuable combat experience in the Ant arc but I still wouldn't place him higher than half the Ryodan in combat ability and Leorio, apart from picking up some nen skill, seems to have just been studying, playing with women and masturbating the whole arc so he would fare worse. Killlua's vulnerability could be exploited too...his needing to charge himself. There's always an exploitable weakness to every fighter, even Meruem THE UNBEATABLE GOD had his feelings for Komugi as his kryptonite. Even if Kurapika didn't care for his comrades, another weakness would be that he relies too heavily on his nen being Ryodan use only to make up for his meager experience with nen-combat. I think any fairly experienced non-Ryodan user would give Kurapika a lot of trouble as he hasn't really developed hatsu that are useful in general combat.
Re: What is the weak point of Kurapika?
In HXH you're not going to get like a 4 on 13 that becomes like 13 1v1 in a row and end up with the side of 4 never dying if the combatants are even reasonably matched. That's assuming you even have 1on1s to begin with.
For the most part in terms of killing people, Kurapika is borderilne invinicible 1on1 just due to Emperor Time. Even 1on2 or 1on3 wouldn't be too hard for him if he just immediately kills the guy he captured with Chain Jail. The other main characters don't have guaranteed 1on1 winning skills and they'll probably die or get captured and that's why it's his weakness. They could be physically stronger than him and it really doesn't matter because in HXH it's really what you do with your abilities that matters a lot more given all human characters have roughly the same base ability.
If Gon was not the main character you just hit him while he's charging up and then he dies because he's at equivalent of Zetsu state while charging up. Killua can take care of himself, but Leorio probably won't have strong killing abilities either.
