Help with a sentence
I need some help translating this sentence:
なるほどな 真島 零!! 今ここで単身 相まみえようとは やはり あの師にして この弟子よ!!
Naruhodo na Majima Rei! ! Ima koko de tanshin ai mamieyou to wa yahari ano shi ni shite kono deshi yo! !
I'm not so sure, but I think he's talking about a comparison between master and disciple.
And here is the page:
-Edit
I was asked to put my translation, so here it is:
I see Majima Rei, now that I look at those traits right here, it's obvious that the master makes the disciple!
I didn't post it before because I'm still not convinced at all with this translation.

Re: Help with a sentence
相まみえる means "to meet" or "to encounter" rather than "to look at" in your translation.
I am not sure about "今ここで単身: Being alone here at this moment” but it may make sense in the context. Maybe it is something like: Here I am being alone and meet/encounter you (right now).
The first and the last parts of your translation sound fine to me.

Re: Help with a sentence
Ok, how about this translation for the sentence:
I see Majima Rei, by being here alone and meeting you right now, it's obvious that the master makes the disciple!

Re: Help with a sentence
I tend to flip the name order when I translate JP names into English, but it is up to you. Just be consistent so that your proofreader doesn't get confused. : I see, Rei Majima. Rei: given/first name Majima: Family/last name
