I think he said American participated with his Uni maybe? But yeah, JHU is nice as well.
It would not surprise me if American has an agreement with his university, they are very active internationally, working with universities in numerous countries. Multinationalism and bridging gaps between cultures is a major goal of American University. JHU happens to have the best school of politics in the US, and one of the best economics schools too. GW is also one of the top schools for politics and history.

He doesn't strike me as a land grant type of dude.

A good school is a good school. I doubt he'd discriminate.

They have a ton of combinations for the soup, as well as some Cambodian style food and vermicelli. Pretty cool.
Apparently, food is something that makes you converse. If only you can eat food here, you will get lots of beargasms while having them.

And like Gary said I think AU did indeed have an agreement with my uni. I'll have to double check.

I know someone who went to Hopkins and my brother knows people who went there and American. I can ask about the campuses, if that's what you meant?

Nah, more like having a "name" internationally. But that's interesting too of course.

I've been to American's campus before actually. It's quite nice. It's near the Zoo, National Cathedral and ton of other things. It's also close to the Dupont Circle neighborhood which you would love and would be loved there :derp

Ah, well all of those schools have that. They're not Ivy League of course, but they're known nationally and internationally.
