Interesting... Maybe the outside world is where all the dinosaurs came from. I know HxH usually parallels our reality, and it's interesting if it is revealed that all the prehistoric animals did came from the outside world and not really extinct as mankind deems them to be.
Maybe the outside world is an infinite place/dimension ignoring all rules of time and space. Not really thinking in terms of planets in the universe, but the world as a miniscule part of this
dimensional mesh (i have no idea what im talking about).

Re: Hunter x Hunter to return to Jump! (for short story)
Absolutely loved the chapter, both its story and the artwork. It was nice seeing a younger, optimistic Kurapika. It’s been a pretty long time since we’ve seen his more lighthearted side. I especially liked Togashi portrayed his friendship with Pyro and developed Pyro’s character. In less than 30 pages, Togashi was able to show us a friendship that not only feels genuine but also develops a background for why Kurapika became friends so quickly with Gon and Leorio latter on.
I don’t know about anyone else, but actually getting to see Kurapika’s family really gives me more sympathy for him. We knew before that he lost his entire clan, but now that we’ve gotten to see them as actual characters, Kurapika’s loss feels more genuine. I’m more willing now to sympathize with his actions in YorkNew and his intense hatred for the Spiders.
I can’t wait to read Part 2, which I’m expecting to be even better than Part 1. You’ve been building up the Phantom Troupe massacre for over 15 years, Togashi. You better deliver! :hip

I agree with you ... Now we understand the hatred of Kurapika ....
Re: Hunter x Hunter to return to Jump! (for short story)
I got the chance to read the manga.
- First off, I liked the environment the clan is living at. From the flashbacks we saw in the manga and anime, I always thought they were living in a barren wasteland or a desert area, but here we see they are living in a funny looking jungle!
- Language barrier?! You don't find that often in anime. Although we did get a hint that there are multiple languages in the HxH universe.
- "Even a kid wouldn't be convinced by that." Just that.
- Pyro is losing his eye sight!..................... :lolo? NAAAAAH!!
- Now we know why Kurapika wasn't in the village when the massacre happened, but what happened to Pyro?
- lol Kurapika looks like his mom!
Re: Hunter x Hunter to return to Jump! (for short story)
I like that Kurapika resembles his mom a lot :D
Btw, what was the exact date the first half released on jump? and the date for the last half? I have no idea about that :darn
Re: Hunter x Hunter to return to Jump! (for short story)
Interesting - there's something sort of tribal about these guys. Apparently Kurapica was adopted while the father's identity is sort of known.
Re: Hunter x Hunter to return to Jump! (for short story)

A prejudice of a place full of prejudices.
I love you, Togashi.

HELL no ! lool The HxH universe has its own language.
For example - go to this video http://youtu.be/aAPNRqJV3B8?t=1m21s
When it shows each of their faces on their Hatsu type you see the Japanese Kanji ( I think ? ) and then some weird characters. That's the HxH language. Its shown a lot in the manga too : P
Re: Hunter x Hunter to return to Jump! (for short story)
So do you think the Kurta had their own writing system as well? Or is there a universal writing system and different languages throughout the world?
Re: Hunter x Hunter to return to Jump! (for short story)
We have seen that the HxH world has developed to use a universal language. But there is of course other languages in existence but they are in the minority. For example Feitan is seen speaking something like Chinese at times and the Kurtas seem to have their own tribal language.
New chapter will be out soon guys! :D Massacre time!

The Kurta probably do have their own writing system as well as Kurapika was seen writing when he was preparing for the exam.
