I don't understand that second sentence. So you toss a coin to decide who wins this sleeper, but he'll end up dead anyway?...doesn't really make sense.

Yeah, but anyone could be...right?

I thought the role doesn't matter. Unless only regular townies can be recruited due to game balance reasons.

Does recruiting sleeper cost mafia a kill? Or can they kill and recruit a sleeper on the same night?

Evil said sleepers assume they are regular townies, I take that to mean plain townies with no abilities.

what happens if the mafia tries to recruit a regular townie?

It is because recruiting and killing is the same action. Mafia A performs killing attempt on Townie X. Townie X turns out being a Sleeper, he gets recruited instead.

If both Teams target the same player, the player gets killed anyway. The choin toss will just decide to which faction his dead body will be counted.

I gotta go to the hairdresser in a bit, will be back today.

Based on my calculations there 6mafia+2sleeper means max of 15 townies with abilities.
