The new ending theme was rather, meh. Ah, poor animation, it's been awhile since we saw you, and now you're back in action. The war recap was rather interesting way to refamiliarize the base with the storyline, as was Sakura's interview. :derp Next week's episode looks to be more promising.
This was like a 'recap' episode. Some cool scenes with fighting at some points but... TBH... the best part of this chapter was Mabui's rather suggestive pose in the beginning. lol
Speaking of which.... (seriously, don't read this if you want to follow the anime instead of the manga)Spoiler show
Shikaku just described the whole problem with this war

You have to hand it to him :XD
Idk if it was my link or if the quality was really bad, but the colors looked really saturated, and it looked terrible. I wasn't too fond of the new ending. And i think the animators might have gone a bit overboard with how many clones Naruto made.
Oh man, I'm excited. God, it's been so long. I started reviewing at about this point in the manga, and finally seeing the former Kage and Gaara face off is like being transported back in the past.
I wasn't crazy about the beginning of the episode. I understand they might want to catch up viewers on what's going on, especially since shonen attracts a young audience. But if felt like stalling to me. Still, there was plenty here that was great. Naruto in action and powered up. The interactions of the nameless ninja in peril. The former Kage interacting with each other with various viewpoints subtly hinted at. I liked the previous filler "Power", but boy am I glad the shows back on the canon track.
