Übel Blatt by Shiono Etorouji

Another Young Gangan series to go with Jackals, and Until Death Do Us Part, Übel Blatt is a more fantasy oriented series than the previous two. As the Sushibar Manga site describes, it is "an awesome killing, war waging, Mystical manga".

I can't give you a summary yet as I haven't read it myself, but I figured I would make a post about it to bring to your attention. I'll try and read some of the first volume to get a better summary for you guys at some point here.

For those who are interessted: The German title can be translated as "Evil Blade", although the chosen words sounds pretty stupid for a native speaker, more like "Nasty Leaf" :XD

Well, what should I say? It's bloody, it's ecchi... not bad, not bad. I can take the "&#220;bel" literally for some scenes >.< (still don't get the "Blatt", though). The protagonist is worse then Blue Dragons Ral, he's not only grabbing the boobs *cough* >.>
Only the name of the main char sounds pretty stupid in my ears. Guess, I have to get familiar with it >.< ... but haven't read a manga with German terms in a while, that alone is funny enough to read more. As long as it does not get to pervy for my taste *looks at the credits page* >.>

Chapter 2 is out.

Now I finally know that the mangaka meant Blatt = Blade. It's not really a wrong term, but also not the correct term, at least not in this case. The Schwertblatt (Swordblade) is technically not the same as the english Blade as far as I know and the term itself is barley used out of technical talk. At least it's not used in the same way as Blade, most ppl probably don't even know that a sword or knife has a Blatt.
It would sound more reasonable when he'd fighting with a saw then a sword xD

To bad, the scanlators edited the German titles from the raw into English ones. I took a look at zindryrs DLs and it's funny to read for me. I wonder why the publisher don't let someone proofread, they are a hell of mistakes (guess, it's not interessting for non-german readers >.<). Anyways, i don't recommend this manga to everyone who trys to learn German - you will only catch bad habbits xD


As for the chapter ... hm, yo ... not the best manga out there, but ok. I miss a little that "special something" to drag me in (not to mentation that the main char is to young for such stuff, I'm not really into shota so hopefully it will stay on a low level >.<). But a nice read for the break between my studies :D

I read this manga it... I liked it pretty cool. its like Berserk meets Chrono Crusade...

-squeals- I really liked this manga. I picked it up when I found the first chapter on MangaUnderground. This is a really great manga, with an interesting plot and good artwork.

Chapter three is out, and we get a lot of explaining and stuff done. I thought it was really touching in the part where he was crying while telling the story...

Oh, and thanks for the RAWs, I'll be checking them out and spoiling myself, as always.

Yes, that really was a touching scene. I sneaked at the RAW earlier but it caused more questions then answers :XD

I liked that chapter very much, now it has become interessting to keep reading. Anti-hero, huh? Nice!

Such a cool manga. I really like the story so far, I can't wait until he starts taking down the real baddies. I mean how dare them, it's just so sad what they did to them and how they got everyone thinking what they think =(
