EDIT: Thought it was new. Turned out to be ancient, thanks for spotting that IceEmperor

Aka two characters getting their first matches? I'd love that.

Recent image from a few hours ago. It screams "i'll join the team if you beat me heh" https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BxtfEL7CQAAn2-N.jpg

I guess i understand that POV. I usually put on figurative blinders to flags when it comes to sports. I just like who i like. But then i do understand some nations don't have strong tennis backing...

Nishikori should have channeled Ryoma ;_____;
September 08, 2014 06:02 PM
Cilic was winning the long rallies. I got the worst case scenario....a one sided nervy final. Keis legs are his weapon...they werent there today. Disappointed :(
September 07, 2014 05:22 PM
Yeah, i expected a rather one sided final. Hoping for a hype as hell men's final though. Those guys just took out the two best players so I hope they don't give a deflated final.
September 07, 2014 03:40 PM
Insane. I bet America wishes it could trade their doubles success for some singles.
@GoldB, yeah :(, fed has issues with big hitters these days. Tsonga at Toronto, Gulbis,Berdych the last few...

Sad for Federer but not really. Better for the sport this way, it's been like a decade since there was a slam final w/o one of the big 4. Hoping Nishikori takes it so Japan wins its first slam!!
September 06, 2014 04:53 PM
The result didn't surprise me honestly. I felt it could have gone either way. I will say though, things would have gotten rough if he had to serve it out. Breaking for the match was the best possible...

Holy crap you're alive...welcome back :)
Regarding Baby Steps...it makes me apprefiate how nuts PoT is, while PoT makes me appreciate the realism of Baby Steps.
September 05, 2014 02:58 PM
@kaoz not necessarily a limit. Could be like nationals OVAs where it was as long as it needed to be. Those OVAs were spanned across 3 years or so iirc? And they just made new ones as the manga...

After Federer losing after having match points at the USO...it's okay if he's on the positive end for once!!! all jokes aside. I'm happy he's through but a bit sad for Monfils. Commentators have been...
September 04, 2014 10:48 PM
I knew monfils would be a very dangerous opponent. Federer got hella lucky. I fancy him over cilic...if it was Berdych i'd be really scared.
September 04, 2014 08:46 PM
While he can certainly beat monfils...I wont be surprised at all if federer loses this.

Monfils up 2 sets...
September 04, 2014 03:33 PM
Stan has technically stepped it up..its funny, his top 10 record was pretty good...but his losses were to players outside the top 10...and some of the losses were bad. He's still too inconsistent...
September 04, 2014 02:26 PM
This match really looked set to go the distance...and then it just didn't lol.
@GoldB the two back to back 5 setters even more impressive because Nishikori has stamina/endurance issues. I really...
September 03, 2014 11:50 PM
Zaizen, Tachibana, Yuushi or Momo.
The first 3 are hyped/semi hyped but don't get to show it because of the team nature of this manga.
September 03, 2014 11:07 PM
That was a hell of a match. Djoker and Murray busy tiring each other out, taking 2 hours to split 2 sets lmao.
September 03, 2014 11:06 PM
I actually like Byoudouin a lot. He is my primary source of entertainment in the series atm. So I'm playing Devils Advocate in regards to him. I just don't understand how Ryoma is the bad guy in this...
September 03, 2014 04:43 PM
He said STFU after all the MSers stepped up, it wasn't Ryoma specifically. And more over he looked pleased that they were showing some fight.
I can judge what i see though. And what i see is...
September 03, 2014 03:52 AM
Um..Ryoma and Tokugawa were engaging in small talk after their friendly match when byoudouin attacked out of nowhere? what the hell did Ryoma do at that point :derp. Byoudouin aimed for Ryoma because...
September 03, 2014 01:42 AM
Also, Tokugawa stepped in to stop a promising Junior player from possibly getting a career threatening injury (no one thinks about this..but most of the original PoT cast are not actually fully...
September 02, 2014 09:27 PM
Most of the characters in this show have glaring personality flaws lol. I've beaten it to death but Ryoma is one of many...i can point out Atobe purposely wanting to ruin tezukas career, Rikkai...
September 02, 2014 07:24 AM
Most recent, but it's still pretty old no?
I don't get it. Byoudouin is pretty much trying to kill Tokugawa but Ryoma stepping in is the bratty one throwing a tantrum? I don't get this place...

Yeah i watched her go :(, would have been awesome if she made the semis of every major this year. She suffers from what i call sloane syndrome: Well in majors.....poorly in the lesser events.
