Pre-ordered my copy today as well. Can NOT wait, despite the fact I already read the first book on scans.
I actually also ordered Tekkon Kinkreet and Blue Spring, just because Matsumoto is the man.

I don't want to bug him about it, but anyone else is free to do so with my blessing.

whoops guess I let this one slip
yeah I've been crazy busy with work ever since the last scanlation, and with Matsunaga ramping up the amount of text in each chapter I'm not very inclined to get...

Dance till Tomorrow is one of my favorites, and the oldest of Naoki Yamamoto's translated works. A really funny, sexy college comedy; typical 90's stuff.
There's Kazan ('97), which I'm not sure is...

Usually in longer series, the author only has a general idea of what to do with his manga. Often these are popular manga, whose lifespans are mostly determined by reader response. Whereas in...

I'm wondering if we'll get to see that Paperakyu holding facility the teacher mentioned a few chapters ago...

it really depends on the story the author wishes to tell, but in general I prefer series don't last forever. 20 volumes MAX

Mangascreener doesn't exactly have the staff to support a manga like Bambino, nor do we ever consider picking up something that's been done by others before.

There's a sequel to Bambino!, called Bambino! Secondo that is still ongoing.

It took me a few times, and a lot of patience when I finally decided to push through and keep reading. The opening volume to this one is so overwhelming it's crazy. But yeah if you know what...

Yeah Number Five is just nuts. I bought the iPad app, which is a complete English official version of it.

The version I'm working off is actually 4 volumes. The 6-volume print was about 130 pages per volume, so now it's about 190 per book.

No, kind of the opposite, the kind you're thinking of is even older, whereas the 80's to 90's shoujo and josei I'm thinking of is more like Ai Yazawa stuff.

Personally I think (good) shoujo and josei series really excell in portraying emotional interactions, though. Like the equivalent of seinen series with heavy pathos...

I think being hired to letter Gals! (even though it was absolutely retarded) kind of softened me up towards shoujo manga. I'm not gonna call myself a fan, but I've read some authors that I really...

Glad you like it! As you say a lot of people get turned off by manga looking like this, but I'm very drawn to these oddball series. Their loss, huh?
