Hiro Mashima of Fairy Tail Fame likes to tweet a bunch of sketches too...this is really cool, thanks for the heads up
October 22, 2013 07:54 PM
Yeah I noticed this looking through the playstyles and I never really liked it...
Is Yukimura still considered a counter puncher or did he make the move to all rounder too.
October 22, 2013 01:37 PM
I'm kind of surprised Kintarou is listed as an All rounder....i always pegged him as an aggressive baseliner.
October 13, 2013 04:35 PM
Don't they imply that Ryomas drives are developed before his matches? The only one i think he just made up mid match was COOL Drive. It usually looks as though it's a technique they seal, or would...
October 13, 2013 02:44 AM
Atobe fangirls are forced to be reckoned with. I remember my a bookstore near my campus selling out of original PoT volume 35 when generally I was the only one who bought PoT from there :(
October 12, 2013 08:47 PM
Random but...I was watching this new anime called Kill La Kill and the main character had to play (fight) the captain of the girls tennis team. At one point in the match she tries to return the ball...
October 10, 2013 02:43 PM
Wow i was joking about this. Must mean Kirihara wants a Wii U now, or maybe a PS4.
Ryoma had one of the most positive profiles I've read so far. Really looking forward to Atobes.
October 02, 2013 12:11 AM
Huh.....speed counts for serve speed? I assumed that would be coupled with Power. I'm sort of confused.
October 01, 2013 11:58 PM
I remember, i think that was the one time he made the USO semis? He also made a wimbledon final losing to Hewitt.
He cited shoulder injury for the primary reason he retired. Most of feds...
October 01, 2013 04:52 PM
:( He was a fun/talented player to watch. One of the best backhands I'd ever seen.
September 23, 2013 10:12 PM
I actually like Makeshift pairs..interesting to see how some characters abilities match up in doubles. Maybe this is my bias due to always using makeshift pairs in Smash hit2 lol
September 22, 2013 10:00 PM
The comments on Byoudins power/speed made me laugh, everything else seemed in line with what i was expecting except those. Byoudins profile was kind of zzzz, but i expected that i guess. It's...
September 21, 2013 10:23 PM
I completely forgot about JP school year time and was thinking of fall to summer like the US. My bad lol, still though.
September 21, 2013 03:39 PM
Still Panels is a PoT tradition, when i was rewatching the original series not too long ago i was laughing at how often it happened.
As for OVAs, hoping for something Akin to the nationals...
September 21, 2013 03:37 PM
Thanks again Sai. The year thing is confusing...always an issue in manga like this. PoT took place over the course of a year but the manga took a decade...and like most manga/anime in this situation...
September 21, 2013 12:43 PM
More TeniPuri anime is always a good thing. I hope it's sooner rather than later though.
September 21, 2013 12:49 AM
I don't like those awkward zoomed out rallies they adopted in the anime lol. They look CGish...really funny looking. A rally between Atobe and Irie comes to mind.
September 20, 2013 11:43 AM
Anything else interesting in there o: ? I've been curious for a while
September 19, 2013 02:34 PM
I've been jokingly telling myself it's Nanjiroh or Ryuuzaki lol. I can't remember if it was anime or manga only, but he described the ferocity and animosity of Ryoma and Jin's match as "Kids tennis"....
September 19, 2013 01:13 PM
Hahaha, that was amazing. Ties into the story as well. I figured Atobe would brag about having an international cell phone and that's the reason tezuka contacted him.
September 19, 2013 01:08 PM
I never watch it in order, i rewatch Atobe VS Irie. Then just pick random parts, i tend to ignore mountain training episodes though.
September 18, 2013 05:41 PM
Tokugawa wanting a little brother is so precious lmao. I also think some stats are being hidden, still don't know if these account for Auras and stuff right?
September 18, 2013 05:37 PM
This is about my 3rd time tbh haha, i don't mind the anime that much. Obviously it could have been better lol. The nickel and diming OVA system was off putting though.
September 18, 2013 04:03 PM
I was rewatching the anime again, i noticed Kurobe is "acting as director in the absence" of the true director. I wonder if there's any significance to this.
September 17, 2013 07:57 PM
I remember the Gasquet affair....that was when i realized i liked watching him because he was definitely missed by me during the ban. And yea, frosty is right..the ones caught using illegal substances...
September 17, 2013 12:31 PM
This reminds me of the conspiracy theorists who think Soderling was silently banned and that's why he's not making his return...
September 17, 2013 12:59 AM
That's pretty.....@_@ seeing as Cilic is quiet....figuratively/literally. He rarely makes any waves, and his results are okay. It's pretty surprising.
September 16, 2013 12:14 AM
Welcome Natsumi and Shikikira~
Haha, wtf lol. I don't bother looking at the numbers anymore, it seems to be scaled so differently based on the player. 5 for one guy doesn't seem to be 5 for...
September 14, 2013 07:29 PM
Thanks for the clarification Sai,if Gakuens are limited to students in the area....and everyone in Hyotei is rich. Guessing Hyotei is in upper crust Tokyo lol.
September 14, 2013 11:50 AM
Gakuen just means Academy iirc. Rikkais full name is Rikkai Dai Fuzoku chuu, rather than gakuen and iirc they go all the way up to university. I'm going to assume Hyotei is a private school lol.
September 09, 2013 09:05 PM
Other guys need to step up. Only one on his game is Nadal. Serena V. Azarenka is a pretty decent rivalry, yeah.
September 09, 2013 07:39 PM
Grats to Nadal..really deserves it. That 4th set was abysmal, and Djoker choked that 3rd set away. That's 4 disappointing slam finals in a row :/. Murray got an injury or something at the AO and his...
September 09, 2013 11:09 AM
I'd like to think he went all out on his Buchou and it just didn't work out. Idk if Tezukas trouncing of him would have had any meaning if Kaidou was holding back.
September 08, 2013 10:31 PM
Also Vika is pretty much the only person she doesn't blow off the court these days :/
September 08, 2013 10:15 PM
She loses of course, everyone does, but betting against her is generally not a good idea. Especially when she's focus. And this is coming from someone who really doesn't care for Serena lol.
September 08, 2013 08:51 PM
Didn't he go to losers after losing to Oni?
September 08, 2013 08:35 PM
Every woman seems to be at a disadvantage athletically to serena :(. Was rooting for the lovely Vika...sigh.
September 08, 2013 11:45 AM
I lean towards Djoker because he's actually my second favorite player after Fed since Roddick retired. But Nadal has played so well this tournament, Gasquet was the only one to break him in 6...
September 08, 2013 11:41 AM
Lol Tezuka was so good he wrote him out of the story :/ so he could go pursue a pro career lol . Had he stayed he would either always win or his injury would flare up...that's what all his losses...
September 08, 2013 11:30 AM
Not rooting for anyone in particular honestly. Just want a good match.
September 08, 2013 12:57 AM
Lol, so the negative comments are based on pre expedition Kaji...who apparently improved drastically....................but has nothing to show for it because lol Oni.
September 08, 2013 12:54 AM
Last time Djoker won the USO...he came from behind against a top 10 swiss opponent and pulled out a tight 5 setter...will history repeat itself O:
September 07, 2013 02:59 PM
Elaborate o: on the Ryoga and Atobe bit
September 07, 2013 02:52 PM
I'm going to go with Tezuka lol. Did they ever show how Jin learned to hit 10 balls? or did it just happen.
September 07, 2013 12:00 AM
Wow @ Yamato's stats lol. Yet he was playing "even" with Tezuka thanks to his special technique.
September 06, 2013 11:51 PM
Serena too good for inconsistent Li Na, but i was surprised by the bagel lol
September 06, 2013 04:34 PM
Isn't Renji Rikkais de facto number 3? It was always a blurry issue for me though. Kirihara only mentions wanting to surpass the 3 monsters, makes no mention of Niou and his other senpai.
September 06, 2013 02:38 PM
This makes, what i was thinking as well. The speed to get into perfect position to return the shot, and the technique to return it etc.
September 06, 2013 01:18 PM
I still think people are looking into the numbers too much. Like sai they don't measure the abilities as far as we know (that's what i meant by intangibles). These are just raw physical stats for the...
September 06, 2013 01:11 PM
I remember Stans match against Djoker earlier this year at the AO...Stan has built on that match all year while Djoker doesn't seem to be at the level that got him that 3rd straight AO. An upset...
