Saiki's already gotten a vomic, actually (so has Haikyuu!!, if that's what you were referencing). Though I guess it could be another chapter, if they're going that route. Maybe a web/flash anime......

Just for reference's sake,
Itona's surname, "Horibe", matches the name of a couple of the 47 ronin. I guess that means he'll likely end up friendified, but we probably all expected that anyway.

I actually looked it up when I first read the chapter, and
Evidently, you can. It depends on which rules the competition is using, but junior high/high school rules allow the ball to hit your foot...

It's evidently an allusion to the old comic strip Sazae-san, according to the Japanese fanblogs. The titular character's maiden name is Isono, so that's probably where the "Korono" bit comes in.

I think the second is 間 (あいだ), but only from context and because the first character of the yomigana looks like either あ or お. 体 actually seems like it would fit for the first one, too.
That...

I can't make out the first two kanji in the image. ? の ? に球が入る

Well, actually, there's no guarantee that's true. He could be another result of whatever turned Korosensei into an octopus monster (hence, a "brother" in some respects - he only says "nii-san", so...

Concerning the "2 of each" line: if I remember right, the word used in the Japanese was 手足 (teashi), which can be translated as either "limbs" or "one's hands and feet", and the counter used, 本...

No, no, I'm really appreciative of the feedback! Evidently, I'd mistyped 誘拐犯 (yuukaihan) as 愉快犯 (yukaihan) and didn't even notice (usually I'm able to catch blunders like that... ack). As for 背後, I...

Ehh?? Please please let me know if/where my translations need work! I'm nowhere near fluent, so I'm always glad when people point out mistakes/mistranslations/etc.
December 23, 2012 10:51 AM
Aaaactually... it's not a matter of translation choice at all. The word used is ビッチ, which is "bitch" written in katakana.
December 07, 2012 12:33 AM
23 is the most current chapter in Japan. Last week's translation took me a bit longer than usual, mostly due to RL craziness.

The scanlation is still ongoing, but you have to realize that Saiki has more text in a single chapter than most others have in 2-3 chapters. I'm one of the people translating it, so I can speak from...

Red Eye is probably my favorite character thus far, so I'm also hoping he'll show up again.

I think this one might be legit (under a spoiler tag in case it isn't):
Hungry Joker (cover + lead CP)
One Piece
Naruto
Assassination
Toriko

It probably hasn't been released yet. The raw came later than usual last week, and on top of that my computer's AC adapter died and I had to wait for a replacement to arrive, so I only finished...

He meant the bottom panel, aka the "restored fresco failure" that's ended up as an internet meme. And yep, I see it too. XD I nearly choked when I realized it was legit.

You need the entirety of the bubble for this one.
へんちつしゃ is a more childish way of saying へんしつしゃ (変質者), which means pervert/degenerate.

<o/ No problem!
Weekly Shounen Jump. Launched in 1968, it is Japan's number 1 manga magazine, boasting the highest number of copies printed at 6,570,000. My name is Saiki Kusuo. First of all, I'd...

It isn't translated yet. I'm about 50% done, but it's just as wordy as everything else Saiki-related.
October 08, 2012 05:08 PM
Really? I thought it was well-suited to the absurdity/bizarreness you find in each of the series. In all honesty, I wouldn't mind other crossovers between them - the dynamic between Saiki and...

There are about... 4 recurring characters Saiki is forced to endure. Technically one of them already appeared in chapter 1, though they won't become a regular until later. The others are introduced...
October 02, 2012 09:10 PM
I think the supporting cast and how Saiki interacts with them is a huge selling point for the series. The fact that it's basically an "I'm surrounded by idiots"-sort of scenario, along with Saiki's...

Yesssss. Glad the series has a thread now!

I'd been wondering if that name appeared in the story of the 47 ronin!

XD Togashi drawing Polpo was a HUGE dose of obscurity, but I agree that Kubo's drawing is awesome. Kishimoto's is probably my favorite, if only because Giorno looks AMAZING in that style. Also, I was...

This makes me so much happier than it probably should. Go Haikyuu!!

It'll probably also have the 2-page bangai-hen (extra story) from August's Jump NEXT! issue.
