And for a child, it seems Masaki was a pretty powerful quincy. She could handle a hollow that a captain had trouble with.

I think, given Ichigo's nature as an offspring of a shinigami and a quincy, he would be naturally suited to bring peace between the shinigami and quincy and end the war and animosity between them.
