Fantastic episode. Though I don't remember those particular Palm scenes in the manga...

Aaaaaand now I feel dumb. Very dumb.

About the ear, it wasn't censored in the manga, it's just the speed lines of the King's "attack" over where his ear should be, meaning it was removed in an instant.

Where is that picture from? Also, what are we supposed to get from those brain images?
September 01, 2013 01:57 PM
I thought the same thing you did in regards to the explanation, Shinobi. Killua never really made any progress on fighting the curse, but this time he fought it SO hard that he could literally feel...

^And I see a lot of people mentioning the needle was in his brain, but I don't think so. It was probably very externally located.

It seems this episode is dividing a lot of anime-only viewers on the needle plot point, from what I've seen in other forums.
I thought it was perfectly fine and foreshadowed enough. I think most...

Well, there was that nice slow-motion effect at the time of the punch. It just wasn't amazing, as you said.
I hope we can expect gorgeous animation in the upcoming you-know-what.

So, question: I got 2 friends (my brother and my friend who does HxH AMVs, some of which I've posted here) that love HxH (almost... okay, maybe not that much, but a lot) as much as I do, but they...

You misunderstood what I meant about the speeds. Think of the "battle speed" as a Kaioken of sorts: you can only really use it in bursts AKA during the fights, for practical reasons. It isn't such an...
February 16, 2013 07:02 PM
Your argument is made over a lot of assumptions about the HxH world, so it's somewhat hard to counter it... I'll say a few things, though.
The "fancy knife" didn't pierce the defense of a top aura...

Well, it would certainly appear that way, but Killua simply needed to go back ASAP to GI, and who knows how long it would take if both of them were to take the "whole" Exam.
February 03, 2013 10:58 AM
This episode was amazing. Everything about it was just perfect. Gon's ability color was also a nice choice, it fits. Wonder if it'll stay the same when the ability is "complete". Genthru is as much...

I'd like to be added to this. Sounds fun!
Can someone explain in more detail how it'll work, though?
January 24, 2013 08:59 PM
Isn't "pausing" the anime an option? Like, continuing it after there's enough material instead of going OVA route? Sure, it would probably hit the ratings, but it probably wouldn't be bad enough to...
January 17, 2013 11:21 AM
You hit the nail on the head.
January 13, 2013 10:37 PM
I enjoyed the episode, but I think I would enjoy it a lot more if they didn't cut out all that stuff. The little details are what makes HxH special.
January 06, 2013 12:24 PM
Epic epic epic epic epic epic. The voice-acting was perfect through and through, the animation quality... and DAT KILLUA STARE!
January 04, 2013 07:05 AM
As far as I'm concerned, GI is "over", it doesn't exist anymore. As for why Biske didn't take those pills, it's probable she was at her peak already, so taking those pills would possibly weaken her....

Amazing episode, Madhouse wasn't just being lucky on last week's fantastic episode, judging from this week's one.
I'm still in such a good mood from this week's episode that I couldn't get sad...

We're not discussing her role in the story or anything, so I suppose it's good.
December 21, 2012 05:22 PM
Dunno, but probably random. Or some sort of alternate universe Biscuit, because of the odd colors of her... well, everything, and that doll (?) on her hand.

The Scarlet Eyes power-up was always implied to me, the only difference is that it was explicitly stated now. Kurapika's attack on Majitani clearly wasn't something that he could (or even would)...
