yeah, markings are a puzzle, but if you remember the dragons, they all have distinct features... different "faces", different wings... so looking at this particular dragon, it has feather like wings...

if you look closely ant the last picture, you can see that the dragon is clearly igneel (fire dragon), and the man fighting him has the scarf with scales, just like Natsu.
