The truth is......Ichimaru is actually CHINESE! as in old skool chinese with those squinting eyes. XD

I think Gin is the most awesome villian to have appeared in any manga for a long time. His grin/smirk is priceless.

And he just has small eyes - I'm sure he still has great eyesight though if he's good with that weapon.
