Gintama's just one of those shows that consistently has great openings. The first opening is still my favourite, it's just that awesome a song
It just occurred to me that it might be useful for you to know, considering where you are in the series, that the Gintama movie covers the same story arc that's happen in episodes 58-61. Just with prettier animation and in the a movie format. So you might want to consider watching the movie when you get past episode 57.
where can i find a thread about the gintama manga?
You could create a new one in the Shonen area.

I managed to convince my band to do a few japanese covers, and we are now playing Donten and Shura from the band Does, two of my favorite Opening from Gintama.
Although if you're really interested in Gintama I recommend going here: http://forums.yorozuyasoul.com/index.php?board=3.0

Judging by the preview, I guess next week resumes now episodes with an arc just. Knowing what this episode is about, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that Disney doesn't take offense at all Gintama for the many many many star wars references.
Though I do heard that the animation staffs (mostly the seiyuus actually...>.>") have to apologize to all the other anime studio for all the reference...after each parody (seiyuus because I heard that when they go to voice in another animation studio, the animator of those studio will actually greet them with "There comes Gintama...-_-" and the seiyuus, especially Kukyuu (Kugimiya Rie) have to apologize their directors...since she voiced in a lot of animes...>.>")
Well, the new Arc started in Gintama!
And it's pretty good.
I only have one comment...
The voice of young Obi-one sucks really bad.
I have no trouble with woman doing the voice for children or even teens sometimes (like Naruto), but they need to rough their voice a bit...
In the case of young Obi-one, it was so clear that it was a women speaking that it really felt wrong...

ok now that im done with this little short series i had picked up im gonna start watching gintama again
i am still only on episode 36 or something so i have alot of catching up to do
Gintama movie 2 teaser:
According to the picture and the people at MAL, it's going to be something like a time travel (the past interacting with the future).
I'm really hyped for it now although it will be at least 2 years before I can watch it at the same time.
Obi-One arc is pretty bittersweet so far, hard to withstand the fact that all the Gintama episodes now are so emotionally heavy not that I hate it.
But damn, Gin-sam had to kneel down and beg? That's way brutal.
Last episode T_T
Ah, it's already over for this year?!
There was so many arcs and one-off episode left to do!
Well, they will probably come back in October.
Yes, they wrote "see you sometime. But it's a pity. i wanted tama's episode so badly
