But those special filler episodes like episode 50, 200 and other were pretty fun. Duno if sunrise could keep doing episodes as good as those for months.
I love the way the season started too. The episode may be filler by the technically definition, meaning that it is not a part of the manga, but it's funny enough to be right out of the manga. So many hilarious time-skip references.
I also love the new ending theme!
Actually it's not a filler at all it's even a chapter from not so long ago (actually even the last arc scanlated).
Except the change of 1 week into 1 year due to the anime interruption made it a bit weird
Oh, i see your right.
I've only read as far as chapter 221 so i didn't realize that had happened. Fits in wonderfully here regardless. Probably the funniest moments Shinpatchi has had since the popularity poll arc. Which makes it just a fantastic way to start out this season.
The joke are a bit inequal but when Shinpachi get back to his sister is a priceless scene
I WAS LAUGHING MY ENTIRE WAY THROUGH THIS EPISODE !
Gintama always do this to me!
Anyway, that's a freaking awesome opening and the ending was amazing, Gintama choose good music
What I died laughing most was the kyubei and zura part, that was so funny.
Sadaharu was also funny!
Anyway, seems like there is a serious arc coming up next and I really like the ending(saying it again, lol).
Giving this sad thread a good old bump.
Anyway, just watched the episode with catherine, that was so touching
Moments that made me laugh my ass off is the part where catherine grew younger/beautiful, but even that I don't find her cute at all
The op part really got to me, so the title have its own public hair?
Best part of this episode was when Gintoki beat them all up without as much as sweating, that's freaking badass.
I wish I know someone who could do the same, that's why gintoki is the most awesome shounen character for me

I hardly ever have anything to say about Gintama because it's always so damn good.
I mean what is there to say really? Gintama is awesome....in every conceivable way. It doesn't even matter what the episodes are about, when i sit down to watch one i am 100% certain i am going to love it. It's never let me down and i don't believe it ever will.
So damn true whether it is a serious or fun episode gintama is always epic
And there's not much to predict as it is so random so that's why there's never much disscussion.
Off course we could come here and say "oh this week's chapter was awesome" and then someone would reply "yeah I agree" and we wouldn't talk about much more
Episode 207 -->http://www.animefans.tv/downloads/st...axransctj.html
What did I just watched
I have to say..this episode caught me by surprise
I didn't expected her to die nor did I expected gintoki to lose..
Now that's shocking, disturbing and funny at the same time:
It's getting worse:

Hahaha, I have to see this week Gintama went above and beyond and I love it. Some stuff would try and tone things down and play some non-controversial stuff for a few weeks and what does Gintama do? It has an episode where two characters are using human snowboards and using their underwear to control the "penile brake"(leaving a hilarius line in the snow behind them), until the brake's breakoff.
It really puts the whole objectionable content debate in perspective for me.
Truth be told I'm generally not for shock value comedy. For example I think South Park has more bad episodes than good ones simply because a lot of times there isn't enough "funny" to go along with the "shocking stuff". I feel the same way about stuff like Family Guy and American Dad. A lot of times it doesn't seem like that stuff really leads into anything or adds anything.
Gintama, though, embraces it's own absurdity in such a charming way that it all just....works. Gintama is not the anime equivalent of the Howard Stern show it doesn't push, boundaries for the sake of pushing them, it pushes those boundaries because that is the best way to make the absurd situations the characters get involved in seem the most hilariously insane.
It is my hope that Gintama is allowed to continue fearlessly putting any content in it's chapters and episodes that the creators feel serve their creative purposes; because at the end of the day, for Gintama, it's all about making the audience smile (a task at which it excels). And as long as that's what it's all about anything they do is going to be worth it.
