Been a long time since i posted here... (on any forum for that matter but whatever)
Anyways, what would you guys consider the best newish anime (under 26 episodes or that just reached that mark or ended at the mark within the past few months)? I am in need of something to see and i might as well make it some anime. The kind of anime that i like are mech, shounen, anime that targets an older audience (if that means anything...) and many things not cutesy or of the like. Some examples would be G Gundam (I dont particularly care for the main gundam series at all), One Piece, Death Note (the two episodes i saw...), Hajime no Ippo, and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Hopefully you guys can help me out.
I agree with Seirei no Moribito, it's pretty new. So far there's 8 (cmiiw) subbed eps. You can also watch Tenpou Ibun Ayakashi Ayashi (25 eps), Bakumetsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto (26 eps, and a long title to type). For recent titles, try Dennou Coil, Shonen Onmyouji, and of course Claymore.
Hope that helps, Neo.
I've heard a ton of good things about Code Geass, so I'll dl it. Seirei no Moribito gets two recs so i would be remiss if i didnt check it out. Claymore got two and from what i have heard of it and read of it, it seems like a watered down Berserk which is good. I think this is a good list for now unless you guys think i HAVE to see another series because Death Note is another one i plan on watching (hmm, 6 or 7 series is a bit much, but whatever )
The best one of the last season (spring) I think it's Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagan by far.
You should aslo give a look at Seirei no Moribito and Darker than Black.
I'm also watching Blue Dragon, but sincerely it's not so good as people says; it's more kodomo than shonen, I think. And the main characters group is ridiculous, with a freaky old man, a strange little monster (reminds me Oolong from DB...), a 10 years girl that tries to be sexy...
