    Re: Filipino/Tagalog Language

    @ Gold Knight
Okay, I'll create a new thread just for that. And thank you! *Yakap pabalik(?)*
(Is there a better way to say "hugs back"?)

    To the other Filipinos :

From now on, this thread will only be dedicated in teaching Filipino/Tagalog, providing additional information about them, and answering questions in translation. Anything else should be posted in the appropriate threads. For our convenience, I made a Pinoy Hang Out Thread just for us. Pwede tayo managalog dun! Okay ba? Good!

clarity, you take it from here.

Now that you mention it, I think that's better I misplaced the "What the..." (OMG to her) to the end when it makes more sense if it were at the beginning

    Re: Filipino/Tagalog Language

Yeah that dialect is awesome, unfortunately that dialect is getting extinct nowadays coz few people uses. There are other dialects in the Philippines that are Indonesian-like, Malaysian-like, or even Japanese-like (niponggo? i guess, i'm not so sure about it)

    Re: Filipino/Tagalog Language

Bad ryk! Hubo't hubad has greater impact

Yes, I suppose "eskwela" did come from "escuela"; I'm pretty sure it is also pronounced the same way. Filipino borrowed a lot of Spanish words then changed the spelling to make it look more Filipino (spelling is based on how it is pronounced).
