@ Gold Knight
Okay, I'll create a new thread just for that. And thank you! *Yakap pabalik(?)* (Is there a better way to say "hugs back"?)
To the other Filipinos :
From now on, this thread will only be dedicated in teaching Filipino/Tagalog, providing additional information about them, and answering questions in translation. Anything else should be posted in the appropriate threads. For our convenience, I made a Pinoy Hang Out Thread just for us. Pwede tayo managalog dun! Okay ba? Good!
clarity, you take it from here.
Since this is IN the Languages forum, here's the latest Filipino phrases GK used in English.
Yeah that dialect is awesome, unfortunately that dialect is getting extinct nowadays coz few people uses. There are other dialects in the Philippines that are Indonesian-like, Malaysian-like, or even Japanese-like (niponggo? i guess, i'm not so sure about it)

Yes, I suppose "eskwela" did come from "escuela"; I'm pretty sure it is also pronounced the same way. Filipino borrowed a lot of Spanish words then changed the spelling to make it look more Filipino (spelling is based on how it is pronounced).
