    Re: D.Gray-man Anime Licensed

I am interested to see the dubbed version, but I don't think anything can beat the japanese version.

I am happy about buying it on DVD, though.

I'm hoping it doesn't end up like bleach, hopefully they'll find voices that fit the characters naturally.
Btw they better have a good cross voice actor, the japanese one is cool when he says arrow of original sin >.>

    Re: D.Gray-man Anime Licensed

D.Gray-man should stay the way it was ~ japanese-only-
as long as there are good subs I dont need some badly done dub~ they often ruin the whole feeling of the Anime especially the characters..

Hmm.. I think Allen's voice sounds kind of weird... Or maybe it's just me. ><

It seems robotic to me, but I am sure that the VA will improve later on.

He sounds fine to me (and I prefer this voice over the Japanese one).

but I've also spoken to an enthusiastic fan who met the guy, so... :3

ah, his voice is good for an English dub...but i've always liked japanese voices with sub better. it sounds more authentic, and the actors really know how to interact and become their characters.

....adult swim slot for this show, anyone? i think it has the potential....but AS is crammed with pointless anime right now which need to be disposed of finished soon.

    Re: D.Gray-man Anime Licensed

Well, I just bought the English Dub for D.Gray-man yesterday and I have to say that it's way better than I'd expected it to be. I'm satisfied with every voice except possibly Kanda's. I think it's a little too deep for the character, but Willingham still pulls it off nicely. I'm in love with Miranda and Cross' voices, though. That, and the voice of the Earl is excellent, too.
