Hey, this thread hasn't been visited in months. heh, I get to give it some business, I guess.
I speak mainly English, and I can get by with some rudimentary french.
I speak Arabic , english and little french
I can understand, read, speak and write perfectly only in Lithuanian.
I perfectly understand and read in Polish, but when it goes to talking and writing... I start to insert too much of Russian, Lithuanian, and mine created words... And my grammar really sucks...
I understand Russian but It's very hard to speak to me without inserting Polish words... And I suck at reading in Russian...
I allmost perfectly understand written English, and my understanting of spoken English is average. But I suck at writing... And in speaking I suck even more...
Chinese [Mandarin] (native)
English (second language but still native since I live in USA)
Spanish (took 6 years....)
Japanese (you know how well I know this one)
Way to go bringing back a very important thread around here, LadyHatake!Originally Posted by LadyHatake
Good thread. I get to show off my knowledge of random crap.
Chinese Mandarin (beginner)
Korean (Alright you got me, I'm just mentioning it even though I only know a couple of phrases.)
well... as for me:
English (I'm learning it since I was 7^^)
German (little, I've learned it for 2 yrs only)
French (like German, but it's been 3 yrs)
Latin (it's obvious since I'm studing medicine^^)
very very little Japanese... I had extra lessons in High School...
Ok, now me "starts bragging":
Romanian - duh (my own language)
English - proficient
French - decent I think, I used to be pretty good at it, but the years have taken their toll
Spanish and Italian - I have a pretty good understanding of both, but I'm not quite able to use them
"looks above" Umm, I guess I didn't have much to brag about after all.
That's interesting. Different styles for different schools, I guess. We had almost nothing to do with Latin in med school.Quote:
Thanks, GK. I'm thinking about going through all the topics and trying to revive some of them. The good ones, anyway.Originally Posted by Gold Knight
