Kenpachi: Possibly Stronger than Aizen and Yamamoto? Or just overrated?

Kenpachi isn't a threat. Some of the other captains loathed him because he is a soldier at the expense of all other things. He clearly is not evil or dangerous to Soul Society in any way. If I remember correctly the character who hated him most betrayed Soul Society. I don't believe Kenny is on the same level as Aizen or Yamma. He is close but his style of fighting restricts his arsenal. He is at a disadvantage in the rare case he can not over power an enemy. He's not overrated; he is what he is. You can't fight the story, which makes no attempt to form a clear hierarchy, for fandom trying to rank a popular character.

BTW: Kenny has a shikai. His zanpakutou is always released. He has to much reiatsu to surpress his zan into the shape of a normal sword. Since he can not communicate with it he can not learn any of it's powers. Ichigo also has a constant release zanpakutou.

*Round of Applause* Well Said. I'm a Kenpachi fan and no he can't beat Aizen or Yamamoto. He's obviously not the strongest captain, probably due to his restricted fighting style as mentioned by Kaiten.

Aizen on the other hand, was still standing after their duel. And, Yamamoto, would crush Ichigo in a heartbeat. Don't confuse "power levels" with "experience". this isn't DragonBall, this is "Bleach" and experience is equal to the strength of your power.

actually bleach is very dragon ball-like and the sheer amount of reiatsu almost always decides the winner . aizen made it very clear and ichigo showed it many times too when he broke out of +90 level kidous with only reiatsu . and if experience was that important , a +2000 years old yamamoto would never lose to the likes of wonderweiss and aizen

No. Kenpachi's zanpakutou is in constant release state. This is his SHIKAI, just like Ichigo's butcher knife is his shikai.
Due to not knowing it's name though, his shikai lacks any special attacks. It's still his shikai though.

Shikai: Despite not knowing its name, his Zanpakutō is in a constant release state much like Ichigo's Zangetsu.

It's his shikai, but as we've seen with Ichigo, knowing a name and not knowing makes a difference.

aizen outsmarted him and forced him to sacrifice himself , its a win by brains not by brawns but its a win nonetheless and experience didnt help yamamoto one bit

Right,it is the same of the 5th seat of the 11 division,he had different shikai attacks,some strong,some weak. So kenpachi's shikai is weaker than how it would be if he knew the name.

Everyone always brings up the Kenpachi-Ichigo fight, but really, if Kenpachi had wanted to kill Ichigo, he could've easily done it. He let him power up like three times...at one point, Ichigo was laying on the ground bleeding begging for more power. Kenpachi could've just taken his eyepatch off then (or in the beginning) and one-shotted Ichigo. He kept giving Ichigo a chance because he wanted Ichigo to rise to his level so he kept giving him a chance to do so...and even at the end, they just powered up to the max and swung at each other...it wasn't completely a straight up fight with Kenpachi trying to kill him from the beginning. Had Kenpachi fought Ichigo in the beginning like he fought Nnoitra, Ichigo would no longer exist...

Kenpachi is bad ass...there's no doubt, but he's only badass fighting opponents similar to him...meaning fighting really only using strength...and that's because he can take a lot of blows. But if he fought someone like Yama or Aizen who are both strong and extremely intelligent when it comes to fighting, it's not likely he'd stand much of a chance...

no,kenpachi is an idiot,as is byakuya. surely ken-chan was able to kill ichigo,and the latter himself stated that when he was about to leave SS after Aizen's escape (beggining of volume 21 ?),yet the fact he and byakuya always seem so cool,but are hit by the opponents who leave them almost without blood,make them idiots,imo! Aizen was much smarter!that's why kenpachi won't have a chance against him.
