and in the same way, the novel is better than the manga. Even the ending is good! And that really aint a common theme in many of the Japanese stories I've read. I fully endorse that book to anyone.

I like the storyline of the manga but im not a fan of the character designs. Ive seen the film and thought it was alright, but im gonna borrow the book off my friend because he said its much better. And judging by what people have been posting here i suppose it will be.

Hello, this is my first post!

I think both the novel and manga were great, I find it hard to pick a favorite between the two... The manga did some things better in my opinion.

I saw the first movie and hated it... There was no character development at all, one after another they all died. It was cheesy and boring. And the end was rancid!

Well.. I've read Battle Royale manga, and absolutely LOVED it! Probably best manga i ever read.. Movie is good to, imho, just doesnt have space for all the development..

Mangasketch scanned the english version, which I'm a huge fan of. The series is sad as hell sometimes, obscenely gory others, but still a fantastic read. Go with the M-S scans if you can.

Ah, guys, you shouldn't be reading it online. Battle Royale's been licensed & available for purchase in graphic novel form for a long time now.

I finished Battle Royale yesterday and... well, the final is 200% predictable :S
But it's good anyway. I enjoyed a lot during the first chapters, maybe it gets a little bored during the three last volumes... but hell, a great manga! (even I hate seeing so much blood everywhere...).

Btw, is Battle Royale. Not Battle Royal. Change the title please :S
