Does anyone of you know where to find the volume covers?

both the Japanese Amazon and Kodansha website have all the regular edition covers, for LE cover, you just need to google search the Japanese Negima blogs for it. cartoonworld would be a place to start, since I knew it did reviews for every LE packages.

if you don't want to tackle Japanese, English Amazon should have the covers for Del Rey's 1-26 with censorship intact, but they do list the Japanese Negima, up to #28.

and no, I would not recommend people try to compile a list of the changes from magazine serial to book, not only it is difficult, usually a single Negima book can contain from 100 to 200+ corrections, and you need to be an excellent Japanese speaker to pick them up, on top of it someone had already done that for every Negima book. it is in the Japanese website MAGISTER NEGI MAGI Research Institute, and all you need is the knowledge of Japanese or google translate to read it.

Can you scan the pages which has the pactio card pics in it (in HQ). Setsuna's is in vol 28 and would be at the end of chapter 252. In vol 29, Ku's would be in ch 261, Natsumi's in ch 262 & Chachamaru's in ch 263 (there is a chance that the volume chapter no. might not match with the magazine one). Also can you scan the Index pages of them & if possible the Lexicon or Q&A section also.

So it may not be as nice looking as lets say a HQ scan from some one who took the spine binding out from the book and scanned every page.

The Q&A stuff is in the back, it shouldn't be to hard to scan in hopefully, but the other stuff maybe a problem.

also both volumes came with insert ads for the OVDs (both for episode 3, and the news of the extra episode green lit) I know both ads have been scanned in by someone else online, so I'm not going to even bother with it.

Hi all! I think this is my first post here ^^
My friend told me about Negima in September and borrowed me all the volumes, and I was instantly hooked! Though I still think the series has too much fan service... >_<

Have any of you cosplayed Negima? I'm planning to do Yue in the Ariadne Academy uniform, because I like the costume and Yue has always been my favourite character :3
So, I've been wondering: Where could I find a bigger picture of the Ariadne Academy logo? (Or is there even one?) Does anyone know if there's a coloured version of it? (Well, the logo won't show much since it is on the back of the shirt and Yue has long hair, but I'm a perfectionist ) Thanks a lot in advance~

Fanservice is Ken's style, since Love Hina (wrong, since AI Love You), I doubt he'll stop doing them on other mangas too.

Yeah, he is indeed the master of fanservice (ok, maybe not master but you know what I mean) but he should kind of learn where it fits and where it doesn't fit. In battles I don't really see it fitting for the girls to almost loose all their clothes, but having a "bath" chapter under a training arc or something would be more fitting. It's like he is kind of relying on the fanservice to make the manga more popular, rather than the other content.

Don't complain though, I like fanservice

well it's more likely that the editor is the one telling Ken to put in fan service in almost every chapter

seeing as even if people stop reading the manga for the story they keep buying / reading for the fan service.

It's a common practice for a series lacking in a story or a over all plot direction to use fan service to boost a rating or sell a little more to keep going.

though in Negima!'s case it's more likely that it's just there because Ken was known for it in Love Hina

you could try scouting after the OVA's "Mo Hitotsu no Sekai" ep 3 and 4 (first came the start of this month and the 4'th should come in August afair) ... they should have a subarc with Yue in Ariadne

Yes, but where does Negima lack in story? I don't understand what's lacking... It's the humour, it's the fighting, it's the tons of girls with some yuri pactios :3 and the background history is also really interesting and more complex than you first think... Maybe I'm way to biased but I don't know...

That's a real shame because, even tho I liked Love Hina, the story wasn't nearly as good as Negima! I really enjoy the story and it would do well without the amount of fan-service, a little would be enough. Nowadays I'm more disturbed when I see the fan-service than actually.. happy about it. I believe that he really could tone down a little bit and still sell as much, maybe even more, if he profile himself as not only a fan-service mangaka, but also a good storyteller.

Yue sub arc will be released in an extra OAD other than the 4 which should be released together with Vol 32, in 6 months or so. So i don't think she should appear in neither ep 3 or 4...

While episode 4 is being released with volume 31

Plus episode 4 is just covering Negi's training with Raken

Just here to inform people about that "Ken" has again started taking question which would be included in Volume 31 (like he did for Volume 30).

But it seems that this would be the last time he is going to do. If anyone is interested in sending question to Ken about Negima, then they can send it to him. The last date of entry is "Tokyo Time, July 22nd (Thursday), 11:00AM".

I've and read about half of released chapters now but there's still quite a bit left. The tournament arc was great, didn't expect to see a form of Nagi there lol
