What I think is the most weird is that when she wakes up, supposedly she is supposed to be in mars, in the shrine. And there she should have been like "wow", etc.. I'll forgive this episode maligned plot aversion, because it could be said the alternate personality did not wake up until the space jump.

So negi dies 39 years earlier than expect, and Asuna's personality woke up 31 years late of schedule. A total of 70 years. mmmm. 142 years in the least Negi needed to live.

But I think I know the ending. The last image that she threw out (in between the Negi one and the recoding), has a picture of her old helping her friends. Or her with Negi and the kid.

I just have no idea how did Eva-chan manage to find Asuna, with Chao. Unless Chao is really a time traveling genius. (God what an evil villain she would make. It would be hilarious if the mastermind was her. Eva would make serious.)

The only thing we can hope for is a sequel. We don't have a conclusion on any of the major plot points, and for all we know, the Mage of the Beginning has yet to be defeated completely (as in, made so that he also can't possess anyone and extend his life (I hate this because it reminds me so much of Orochimaru)).

But Alaxus, without the Casseiopia, Asuna can't go back in time, so Chao has to take that thing out, tell Asuna she still has it, and then use it. There's no way she's already gone back in time. Right now, she's still in the future, 130 after she went to sleep. She was still looking at the contents of the Time Capsule, wasn't she? So yeah.

One possibility is there only ever was one timeline, those in the future simply needed to do what they did to ensure the timeline doesn't change (Chao going back in time and also lying about a bad future, fake gravestone and message from Iincho that go according to Asuna's memories. Though the only real reason I can think of for the fake out stone and audio recording would be to make Asuna very serious about fighting whoever it was that would kill Negi). Though it could be that the date on the gravestone is in fact the time that Asuna needs to travel back to in order to prevent Negi from dying, so that would be when he died if not for her.

About Negi's death, I'm still going back and forth between two possibilities: 1. Negi is really dead and Asuna has to go back in time (as someone above me mentioned) to save him. 2. Negi isn't really dead and his grave just is a facade. That seems logical to me, because with him learning Dark Evangel's dark magic (wich could be called illegal) he doesn't age that much and people are going to find out sooner or later.

Personally I think reason 1 is more likely...or Ken Akamatsu has to come up with something amazing and incrdible, totally defying and breaking the notion of life and death. He has a twitter account, but he never says a word about Negima!

One option no on's mentioned yet is Ghost Negi, Do you really think dyeing is gonna stop Negi and Asuna from reuniting.

kagami no kuni no harisugawa is also ending, also with a sad notion like negima. what's happening to our authors? why are ending your mangas with a sad tone.grrr. i felt hollow reading these 18 pages of negima 352. certainly it will be an epilogue after this since he even announced that it will be the last 3 chapters. but still im somewhat contented because i had a good time reading the manga.sad it may be for us, let's just accept that negima has to rest.

It said that Negi had stopped aging after reaching his prime (which would obviously be 20 years--basically, once he hit 20, he stopped aging). It's not that he was aging slowly, it's that he completely stopped aging. Anyway, I do hope he faked his death and is just hiding. But I do still hope Akamatsu touches on all the major plot points that he hasn't touched on yet. Either in a prequel or a sequel, or in the next three chapters. If there's a sequel, I hope Negi is still the main protagonist and that he and Asuna beat the Mage of the Beginning. Negi would be 141 years old or so if he's still alive by the way. But still looking like he's 20.

3oct1111: If he's a ghost, that means he can't do much by himself anymore, and we'll have to hope that Asuna is able to see him. Just look at how it was for Sayo.

This is the kind of chapter that could make even the toughest person drop a tear. I really don't think this "Negi being dead" thing to be that simple. There's probably something else to see, to know (if he's really dead).

He can be made to have never died. Chao and Asuna are there, and there a thing in this manga called time travel. Though, it could also be that, as I and one other person said before, he really didn't die but just faked his death.

Anyway, yeah, this is 130 years in the future, and Chao still looks the same as she did when we last saw her. Either the past was seriously changed so that the time of her birth was delayed, or she did something to herself. But yeah, for sure, if there was no war, then it must have been Negi's handiwork.

Remember the war is at mars, and it happened during the one hundred years like Chao exclaimed. I guess she has some explaining to do. Maybe it did end after thirty years, who knows how. But you could notice Chao is not a cyborg here. So it could be the war was prevented, or it has not started.
