Zetman by Katsura Masakazu

I used to really like Zetman, but somewhere along the way I lost interest.
But I'm a bit of a fan of Katsura's work (especially his artwork); so I might take it back up when it finishes.

The last few (scanlated) volumes have been pretty slow, I've fallen behind. I like the art, I like the plot, but nothing really happened other than talking for something like two volumes. I've fallen behind, so that might have changed.

I'm a little confused how this will be adapted into a TV anime, especially the arc where Kouga loses his hand trying to rescue the girls from his "birthday party". How is that going to meet TV standards and still work?

I only read it because I was told it had mixture of Berserk in it and some other seinen manga, plus the superhero part was an add on to that. Kind of lost track to where I left it. Maybe I will start with the anime now and see how it goes.

Hm, probably censor it? No blood, or some animation trick? They do it a lot with those scenes even in shounen anime.

They likely will have to tone down the violence and completely remove the nudity. That is the danger of adapting manga with considerable adult content, so it goes I suppose. Happened with Ganyz too, both the anime and movie.

I'll catch up on Zetman one of these days, not at the moment though.

They might go for filler as well, make it a more "kid-friendly" anime accenting the superhero stuff, make it flashy and stuff. I fear it might happen, judging form the anime picture we saw.^^
It will be ruined either way, censorship is one way of ruining the whole thing, they have many ways to do that, shift form the story as i said with filler add out important scenes to make them adapt the TV standards.

Catching up to these long series is a pain though. Maybe it's just me, I fear so many chapters have been released since I left it. D:

Yeah, I am worried about the censorship for the anime, especially Koga's "birthday party" scene.

Though if you ask me, if Tiger & Bunny wasn't successful, the ZETMAN anime might not have been green-lighted. Does anyone else feel this way?

I was browsing at BookOff today and read ZETMAN Chapter 185 from the October 20th issue of Young Jump. VERY INTENSE. Especially with what's happening to Koga.

So far i like this series, im pretty hooked. but i fear that the anime not only will spoil some mayor plot twists for me, but also make me lose interest :S

ZETMAN 187 up on Chinese manga site DM5. The ending of the chapter = freaking insane. It looks like it's building up to the Koga/Jin confrontation that was shown way back in the first few pages of Chapter 1.

excuse me guys,I'd like to start this manga(I read the 1st volume a year ago) but I don't want to wait for chapters,therefore I'd prefer to start it when it's near to the end,how much do you guys think it will last?another year?
