So I decided to finish watching the 2nd Gantz movie. As expected hearing other fan's thoughts on it, I'm very disappointed. I found the fight and action scenes enjoyable though they got stale in the end. The massive change in plot and that ending......my god, these endings just feel weird and unfitting. Or at least, I think they could of done a much better job at the end.
#2 suffered from a vamps only plot. Really could have used some aliens, lol.
What about L? He was a hax alien.
That was the right movie actually. I was really looking forward to Kenichi Matsuyama's performance after loving the Death Note movies. The actors overall did a nice job but the writing and story direction didn't do any justice for them. Were those black suit guys suppose to be vampires? I don't think they gave any indication of that throughout the entire movie. All we knew was that they were aliens that could morph into other humans and could create swords with some weird black matter. Also, I personally would of been interested to see some of the missions between the first and second movie.
After seeing the movie, I could see where the Katastrophe arc gets its influence. Especially with Kei and the rest of the gantzers turning into a goody two shoes. Only exception was Nishi who got thrown into being the "villain" of the group.
I don't think they specifically said vampires (could easily be wrong because I skipped the dialogue to jump right ahead to the fight scenes) but it was fairly obvious. You had all the main ones plus their one main ability which is to pull weapons out of their ass.
*Pictures them casually "pushing" the sword out of their ass instead of their hands*
I've been watching early episodes of Naruto Shippuden recently and that just reminds me of Sasori lol with his big metal tail. Would love to see HS do some shit like that with his nanobots.
Are they the same person? Wtf lol. He did a shit job in Gantz, that's for sure.
New Kurono statue-figure...whatever.
I like it, but I wouldn't buy it. Cool to get a look at the suit in steroid mode. Legs didn't bulk up much though.

Will be probably as overpriced as the Katou figure. As much as I love Katou, I'm not going to spend 600 - 800 bucks on this!>.< Better make my own!
Oh wow, really? I would have guessed something like $60
