A dream about a small earthquake. Since it was a small one, it wasn’t really serious. It was an odd dream.

Even if I were to be invisible right now, there would still be manuscripts to write and deadlines to keep track of… sorry it’s realistic!

Probably searching for my ticket while listening to music.

“Preferences” Realm of Hungry Ghosts
1. What is your favourite food?
Soba, any type of cheese cake, and also foods with red beans.
2. What is your least favourite food?
Cantaloupes and watermelon… anything from the melon family?
3. What is your favourite drink?
Coffee! Banana juice!!
4. What is your favourite mode of transportation?
Being relaxed on a bike is good and also riding an empty train when it’s still bright out.
5. What is your favourite animal?
Cats are my favourite. A lot of the REBORN seiyuus love cats as well!
6. What is your favourite season?
Summer! Even though I don’t like being hot… and leave the AC on all the time…
7. What is your favourite number?
Five! Not sure why, I just like it.
8. Where is your favourite place?
Old Japanese buildings, the amusement park, and large buildings! So cool!
9. What kind of music do you listen to?
Mainly British rock but lately I’ve been listening to almost anything! [TN: Like Lady Gaga perhaps??]
10. If you were to play an instrument, what would it be?
A steel pan. I admire it!

The Jurassic Park series,

Letters. It’s cute.

1. If you had a dying will bullet, what would you do?
Being in the dying will mode is as painful as dying so I would put it away without using it!
2. Who would you possess if you had a possession bullet?
Possess someone who’s at a really cool place and steal their fun!
3. If Reborn suddenly came to your house, what would you do?
First buy him an espresso coffee.
4. If you encountered Lambo with the 10 Year Bazooka, what would you do?
Put the bazooka away and play with him!
5. If Amano-sensei had a Vongola ring, which one would it be?
The sun! It’s a nice weather!
6. What would you do if a one-year-old infant came to your house and said he was your home tutor?
Be confused and probably ask where his mother is.

Skip my personal ranking and instead, see what the most interesting movies are and watch them in that order.

1. What is the happiest thing about being a mangaka?
When I could sense the enjoyment from readers and fans!
2. What is the hardest thing about being a mangaka?
Perhaps when people don’t read it.
3. When does an idea form?
Any time and place when I’m in a hurry, but usually it’s while facing a desk.
4. What do you do when an idea doesn’t form?
Do what my future self is doing… and sleep!
5. What are you most worried about within the schedule?
Any bit worries me when it does worry me.
6. How did you feel when “Reborn!” was to be serialized in Jump?
Very worried!
7. Who was the first person you told when you heard the news?
My parents.
8. Did your surroundings change after becoming a mangaka?
There’s less time to see people.
9. You are given a month off. What would you do?
Sleep, drive, see people, travel, read, watch movies, play games, do housework, the cat… there’s lots!
10. What is the most precious thing to a mangaka?
In my opinion, health is most important.
11. What would you do if you had a job other than a mangaka?
Being a wagashi [Japanese sweets] confectioner is my dream!
12. How did you feel when “Reborn!” was going to be an anime?
Super happy! Director Imaizumi and the staff were amazing, and I really liked Tanaka-san’s character designs.
13. Describe your feelings when Reborn!” was made into a video game.
So happy that I even bought the gaming system! When I pressed the buttons, I was touched when the characters move and spoke.
“Profile” Realm of Humans
1. Why did you decide to be a mangaka?
It may seem uncool, but I was pressed for employment!
2. How do you dress normally?
Comfortably! Also with a bit of accessories.
3. What do you want the most?
A break! That’s a faraway dream…
4. What made you happy recently?
Eating out with all the staff members. Everyone’s a good kid.
5. What is your favourite occasion in the year?
Bon-odori. Even if I don’t go, seeing people in yukatas out on the streets gets me excited.
6. Do you care about expiry dates?
Yes, quite a bit. Food poisoning seems very tough.
7. Do you have any speech habits?
Every week when a deadline approaches, “uh oh!” or “oh no!” repeatedly, but right before the deadline, it changes to “oh well” or “yup, can’t be helped”… that’s not really a habit is it?
8. What does Amano-sensei do to eliminate stress?
Stress is gone at once when I go to old temples or shrines surrounded by nature. Hundreds or thousands year old trees calm me.

4. How did you feel when the one-shot “Reborn!” was completed?
Finished!
5. What was the hardest part about working on the one-shot “Reborn!”?
Tsuna’s face. Of course, it was my first time so it was a hard time getting used to dame-Tsuna’s facial expressions.
6. What was the editor’s reaction about the one-shot “Reborn!”?
“This is it!” like a manga. Aita-san who does seem like a manga character…
7. Where did the idea of an infant home tutor come from?
I thought, “If it was a home tutor, who would piss off someone the most?"
8 Where did the idea of a dying will come from?
People who work really hard to achieve their goals seemed interesting and cool!
