most of the themes are fine. for me the most important is the ease of view. on that i find the grunge theme a little too 'dark' to see properly. then again, it could just be my bad eye sight...Originally Posted by Gold Knight
Yeah, I don't use the grunge theme often myself. I usually stick to Blue.
Actually the grunge theme is my preferred. I'd like more dark themes. A theme with a black backround would be cool. I think it's *my* bad eyesight that I like dark over light, as my eyes get too sore with light themes - too bright![br]Posted on: June 17, 2006, 03:01:30 AM_________________________________________________I'm in favour of this idea. Once was on a board with this very concept and it worked well and was a lot of fun.Originally Posted by hisshouburaiken

Well, I would like a rep system. Give the people with positive reps the RAW sooner. Or the scanlations, whatever.
That's absolutely out of question.Originally Posted by Vegitto
Okay, okay, but I DO think that people with high reps should get certain privileges.
It would create innumerable problems...RAW leaks (most are on sendspace or another host anyway), more complaining, whining, spoiled members(imagine the discussion threads), not to mention the work it would take to manage such "privileges".
Also, reputation is just props...its just to give a clearer idea of who's opinion is appreciated and who gives positive imput to the site and who spams*, flames or makes unnecessary threads and replies. It is senseless to base any major rewards on such a system that could easily be cheated by creating different accounts, or by groups or individuals with unscrupulous designs. Abuse would run rampant through the whole scheme through personal vendettas, grudges or worship**. Even if the time and effort to immunize the rep system from such occurances is put, there will always be inequity on some level or another...
Yeah, that's true. You're right.
Great post, Rampage!
So very true and nicely explained.
1) Really, the repping system is intended to show, how much the member is liked/disliked by others.
2) Giving someone some privileges "out of thin air", just because of reputation is out of question.
3) So far we've been doing pretty well without that feature. Maybe it's even fine that way. XD
Often the number of posts works as repping system, with some exception.
I hate to say it, but I don't think a repping system being added to MH is in the plans anytime soon now. We have enough problems to worry about right now just keeping the site alive. So I'm unstickying this and locking it for a while, until the topic becomes more relevant again (when things are a little more calm.)
