And regarding the monthly, that would indeed give him more time. xxxHOLIC was released regularly more or less after changing from weekly to monthly (before, it was called weekly but they had 2-4 weeks break between each chapter), although the amount of pages per 4 weeks decreased considerably. So it could theoretically work, but I've never heard of WSJ releasing a manga like that and I doubt they'd switch it to any less popular side magazine considering the amount of purchases WSJ gets every time HxH returns.

Gantz is another series which at a certain point started releasing a chapter every two weeks, then monthly, and then back to weekly for a while and it's in Weekly Young Jump, another Shueisha serial. Clearly it's not unheard of from this company. I think the decision was made that when Togashi comes back they prefer he sticks around for a volume or two's worth of chapters so they can release them when he comes back again, like they're doing now.

I'm really glad it's returning, but it would crush me and my enthusiasm for the series if he did 10 chapters, left the arc on another cliffhanger, and then faded into the darkness for another year or two. On the other hand, if he gives the arc a good ending and a new OVA adapting the Chimera Ant arc is announced to keep fans happy during the inevitable hiatus, I'll be going crazy.

Like for example, one such question I have is about Heaven's Arena. Who are the floor masters above where Gon and Killua got? Are these just super powerful beings yet to be revealed but allow the series the ability to introduce new levels of strong characters without seeming too out of left field?

I don't know how Togashi will handle this, but something seems weird about this arc. It's too high, the levels and the strength. Going back now is almost impossible (Mostly by looking Killua's technique and considering the payment of Gon for that tremendous strength) and somehow reminds me Dragon Ball in which at some point, powers were inconsistent.

Yes, and that's why this manga is so awesome. Unlike OP, which is also awesome, and many other mangas those who run the world, powerwise, are still kept in obscurity. Anytime, now, those characters could pop up. Interestingly enough, is how very neutral characters like the Zoeldyck family are also extremely powerful and could easily become friend or foe.

I think about it and I think anyone stronger than the King would be far fetched. Netero may not be the top 5 of the world but he did represent one of the strongest Nen users at the time, and he could not deal any serious damage to the King even at the cost of depleting all of his Nen. Granted, Netero was old and all, but put any other Nen user, seen or not yet revealed, against Netero, I just can't see anybody who can deal with Netero the way King did.

In the chapter when the King illuminated his En to catch Knuckle and the chameleon, the narration in the back had indicated that the King's sheer power in Nen had shattered both Pufu and Yupi's beliefs that "Nen battles are not decided solely by user's nen power." This should be clear enough that the King's power is so great that even if combinations or variations of Nen skills were to employed, it would still not work against him.

And just how strong Pufu and Yupi are already? Yupi had stated that the overall strength of each of the hunter team (Knuckle, Killua, Morau, etc.) is not even at 1/10 of himself. (although he had a hard time killing each one of them), yet the King's aura was so strong that it shook both of the royal guard's beliefs about the concept of Nen.

Gon, being the extremely talented Nen user and the protagonist of this story, was able to crush Pitou at the cost of sacrificing all of his talents, judging from his strength at his "forced grown" state, I'd say he's NEAR King's level, or at best - the same level as the King, but all of this was achieved with a devastating cost, only to be just about as strong as the King in King's normal state -- the King hadn't even tried to show all his power or push his limit yet.

Personally, I think it's lame if any Nen user shows up to be stronger than King, it'd be like Dragon Ball revisited, not that DBZ was bad, but it just doesn't go with the logic of HxH. I know people like Gin or the Zoeldycks are probably a lot stronger than any other Nen users we've seen so far, but I don't think they are as strong as the King, or to even think they are stronger than the King.
