I'm really REALLY excited for the new DS game! I'm totally getting it. It doesn't help at all the commercials during this week's episode were mostly about all the games anyway. >> Thank god DSes aren't region encoded or I'd be going crazy.
And there's still four more days until it comes out......
Review on the participation of Katekyo Hitman Reborn! in Jump Ultimate Stars (JUS).
Well, I got JUS the other day, and guys, it's awesome.
Okay, about the participation of Reborn:
*Support Characters (Which means they appear and attack, but you can't actually control them):
* Help Characters (they add some status to your playable characters):
Well, Tsuna is a really funny character in this game, he's main attacks consist of him felling down (either because of his own stupidity or due to Reborn's kicks) and hitting the enemy while doing so. His secondary attacks are a little bit better, Reborn shoots a Rabuke Bullet and you know what happens, Tsuna is left in his boxers and two things may happen:
1. He headbutts the oponent.
2. His head grows and pushes the enemies.
*Now, the specials. Tsuna has the STRONGEST specials of the game, in the first one he uses the X-Gloves and hits multiple times a target (or more) IN THE AIR. This Special does 84 of damage (which is A LOT) and looks pretty awesome. The bad part is that if he hits a wall while flying, two of the hits get interrupted and the damage reduces to 36 (which is an avarage low Special).
- The second special consists of Tsuna (in his dying will form and with the X - Gloves) grabbing the enemy, go up and then down with a really strong blow that deals 94 damage ( I think it's the strongest single attack of the game) The downside is that is really difficult to hit a target with it since the direction Tsuna takes once you do it is up and right, unless you have the enemy really close to you, or you have memorized the position of Tsuna while activating it, you'll have a hard time with this. (If any of you are going to play, here's a trick: push the enemy to a wall, that way he's close to you, then hit the enemy and make the special, so he's close to you and there's no way you'll miss).
The Support Charactes:
Each one has 2 sets of different Support abilities, I'm just going to post the final state(the strongest) of each of the supports.
*Gokudera: He runs and leaves Explosives in a Target's body, which makes a total damage of 34 (which is amazing for a Support Character) the downsides are that 1, it only hits a target and 2, Gokudera needs some space so he can run.
*Yamamoto: He appears and slashes everything in one spot, hitting anything in it. It makes 33 dmg, and it's awesome aswell, not only because of the damage, but also because you can hit more than one enemy with it. The downside is what Gokudera's upside is: distance, being in only one spot makes it hard to hit some characters, but! if you are using a combo you'll have no problem at all.
*Hibari: He grabs the opponent, walks with it and then throws it in the air, might make Ring out KO, might not.
* Lambo (adult): He appears, and if something hits him he'll deliver a electric shock of 36 dmg. Good, but it's kind of slow, and you need the enemy to hit Lambo in order to have effect.
* Bianchi: Poison Cooking, poisons the enemy, not that good.
* I- Pin: She blushes and starts running, then EXPLODES! Dealing 60 dmg. Really easy to miss, but incredibly good if hits.
* Reborn: Reborn goes to sleep, and some granades under his bed explode dealing 18 dmg, not easy to miss, avarage dmg for a Support.
Overall, Reborn! makes a significant appearance in JUS, with funny and strong characters.
Fun to play with
For amateurs may be difficult to hit strong( est ) blows with Tsuna.
Needs to have more playables.
Needs update of the series. It only covers the first arc of the Manga and Mokuro doesnt appear. Next one should at least have all the guardians, with their abilities of the V.Ring Arc. Even the future one, if possible.

I have JUS too~ Tsuna is pretty fun to play, but I think he's a little slow. But hey, I also play as Allen, so why am I complaining? The fact he has autoguard is nice too~
i have JUS too^^ and for me the best Reborn! support characters in JUS are Yamamoto (3 komas), Gokudera (2 komas) and Hibari, also Kyoko as help character rises up your lifebar, that's good too
-Soul Sourcerer- as you said Tsuna is a difficult character if you don't know how the JSS and JUS system goes, if they make another J-something-S game, i hope Reborn! has more playable characters, covers more arcs and they improve Tsuna from the No-Good-Tsuna to the X-Gloves Tsuna (not only in the special)
P.S: it covers until Varia arc, but they didn't put anything of it, i may be wrong but in the opening sequence of the reborn! world you can see Ryohei, Yamamoto, Gokudera and Tsuna doing that thing they did before every vs varia battle (and they have the rings)

That new DS game looks pretty nice, escpecially since you can play as the older Guardians, or as the Millefiore guys. It seems all the characters from the previous games are still there, since you can see Squallo in one of the screens.
(and I think posts 27 and 28 do not belong to this thread )
the best of this new DS game is that it's gonna be out in 3 days!
for the moment we've seen you can play as 35 characters:
-all the characters from the previous games (8Vongola (Tsuna and H.Tsuna)+7Varia+Bianchi, Basil, Dino, Reborn and I-Pin + 6 Kokuyo= 26 characters from the previous games) but updated characters?:
Vongola and allies: (3)
-Irie? (may be only support, although i want to se how can he manage at fighting, but i doubt they put 2 big spoilers in the game, but the fact he's even on the cover makes me think it'll be a playable character)
that leaves 1 unknown character...
Colonello maybe? >w>
That'd kick ass, but I'm dreaming.
Glo, Genkishi, TYL!Ryohei, or Spanner's Moscas are more likely.
i don't think Glo is in the game, and if he isn't, Genkishi, TYL Ryohei or Spanner moscas may not be in the game too, but they could put all them in the game, damn it! if the videogame was manga based...and not based on the anime
It's anime based? Really?
Well any of those guys has enough known about them to work into a fighting game.
It seems I found something interesting regarding the DS game.
If the game is right then that's their box weapons from what i've checked.
THAT WOULD BE RIDICULOUS. OMG.
WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT? WHERE?
OH GOD I'M REGRETTING NOT PAYING FOR FAST SHIPPING.
Oh wait. Just saw that in a vid on youtube. Hm. Watching the part with Byakuran carefully, it didn't always look like a tiger. :/

I've said this before, but I think the tiger is just a secondary box animal. If you look at in-game pics of it, you can see it looks more like a mist type rather than a sky type (Byakuran holds the sky mare ring).
You already have it?! D:
I didn't pay for fast shipping. ;-;
I heard TYLGokudera is in it though
I have yet to unlock him, though I do have TYLHibari and Yamamoto. I'm disappointed that the combat system hasn't improved much besides introducing boxes. Hopefully the PSP game will be infinitely better.
