Rookies is the shit. Much love to the Legendary 5th Rookies Group for pumping out chapters like gangbusters!
I just wish someone would pick up Rokudenashi Blues, by Masanori Morita.
It's long, but it's hot.
Seems like Deadbet are back to it, I'm glad it's grabbing people's attention again; Rookies is awesome
P.S: I didn't like Rokudenashi Blues as much as Rookies. Apart from the story-telling, the artwork has really improved from R. Blues to Rookies.
The later volumes of RokuBlues are flippin' awesome, though. It just takes 10-20 volumes to get to the really good art.
I follow L5RG's releases, myself. They're usually ahead, and I like their typesetting/translation much better. (not that this is a contest, jus' sayin')
I admit I read whichever is out before...
About Rokudenashi, I've only read a few early volumes, guess I'll keep reading if any group retakes the project.
Well, v11 is out now in its entirity. Long live L5RG!
is rookies have the anime version?
(i only know the dorama version)
Is there any subbed version for that dorama you said?
There is, just do a search on tokyotosho.
I warn you though, they royally screwed up Shinjo.
In the J-drama Shinjo is a dick and Hiratsuka is a retard in the truest spasticated sense...
Apart from that it's pretty good I think it works better as a drama then it would as an anime and I say that as a strong hater of J-drama's. Download link for the eps in English here.
Rookies is a funny series in as much as it doesn't translate as good into English, although it's mostly just the colloquialisms and jokes that don't translate so well. The story/characters are still just as good but all the English translations have a very White american dude slang feel to them which doesn't do it for me or match up well with the characters I always hear the voices sounding like the "american" voice actors used in the Sam cham baseball ep.

Well well well! Let's bring this thread alive to get attention:
For those who're interested to read Rookies:-
+ Find the scanlations of volume 1-13 @The Legendary Fifth Rookies Group's (L5RG) blogspot, located here.
+ Or @Deadbeat-Scans for volume 6 (from chapter 55 onwards) - volume 10. Their website is currently re-made and had me all WOAH -- right here.
+ Or if you're more comfortable with IRC (they offer torrents at L5RG), go to lurk as usual.
barbapapa has also kept the updates of L5RG to MH - latest post was here.
Hope to see a lot of people read this awesome manga.

I really like this manga but is it possible to find chapters above 175? I looked a lot but can't find even 176 . This manga is great but still didn't watch the drama :/ need to find a good source to download it.

I've been checking MangaUpdates and L5RG's blog for the past months and no new chapters have appeared. The raws are easy accessible, so I guess we should just wait for them to release new material...
Sorry for the double-post; but... Deadbet Scans & Illuminati seem to pick up Rookies again. Although the chapter they released was already available online, I hope they keep releasing new chapters.
In Illuminati's words, they're planning to release a chapter / week. So yeah, great news!

Deadbeat's blog said they intend to finish the series "once and for all" so I'm hopeful them and Illuminati will finish it this time I literally fangasmed yesterday when I saw the release on Mangaupdates
