Thank you in advance for the help. I made a thread here. It's an informal "project" so there are no set rules yet. We just need to gather as much mangaka/assistant relationships as possible.

That would be great! You don't have to do it exactly like the tree graph I linked to; any sort of chart is good as long as it's easy to follow.

    Re: Authors and Artists Hangout

i havent read much manga yet but :

Norihiro Yagi (claymore) - some of the drawings are so awesome...
Tite Kubo (bleach) - i absolutely love how he draws mouth and wrinkles - elegant and sleek style

but #1 goes to manhwa artist
Kim, Kwang Hyun (freezing, authot Im Dal Young) - not so realistic, but that much impressive - i love the facial expression, body anatomy and interesting details - for example one eye partially closed during attack in fight

I'd say my favourite manga/anime as "art" would be Elfen Lied, FMA and D. Gray Man.

I love the style the artist for Inuyasha and Ranma 1/2 used. The artist, Yu Watase, can draw really realisticaly judging from Ceres: A Celestial Legend. I haven't really read a lot of manga as of late to chime in on favorites, though. :'(

Sword Art Online comes to mind.

    Re: Authors and Artists Hangout

Woah, look at those posts! Only three people were able to revive this thread huh.

Anyway, this are the list of my favorite mangakas:

Hoshino Katsura (D.Gray-Man) - her style seemed to change every chapter tho...
Jun Mochizuki (Pandora Hearts) - I love her elegant style.
Rumiko Takahashi (Inuyasha, Ranma1/2) - her style was the first that I were able to imitate LOL
    tadatoshi Fujimaki (kuroko no basket)
Arina Tanemura (Shinshi Doumei Cross) - i would like to add something from the shoujo side
Shinobu Ohtaka (Magi) - currently my favorite manga. I love the way she drew her characters. Others say that her works are rather messy, but the way she portrays emotions is really interesting. She also has a habit of making a character lovable, but somewhat twisted.

"We don't do what we do because of the duty bestowed upon us...

But because we came to love this world..."
    - Aladdin (Magi: Labyrinth of Magic)
