....And noticed some semi-minor things.
First off, Kimbley is the "Red Lotus" Alchemist now.
Second, the two page spread showing all the war scenes and Envy laughing madly is now reverse colored. I don't know why this was changed, but it hardly matters.
Third, and maybe most importantly, in the first few pages of chapter 59, Barry and No.48 have been edited out completely. It now shows that the scientists have shot the Ishbalans in the legs instead of Barry having cut them.
I know the reason for this, too. Back in Vol.3, No.48 mentioned that he was executed two years prior to the story. According to the world timeline in the second databook, the war along with the scene in chapter 59 takes place almost a decade before the main story begins. I thought it was just a small slip-up, but it seems Arakawa noticed and took care of it.
Kind of neat, eh?

uum..i don't think i wanna buy it now...though i should thanks for the info
I was flippin through it at the comicbook store, contemplating on whether to buy it and read it after I finished reading vol 14 which i had already started. I decided to buy something else (Vagabond vol) and I guess I was right, thanks Quartz.
Actually in the original Japanese format thats how it should look. Envy's page was originally inverted.
The only bad change they did is the 'Red Lotus' gig. Not only does it sound girly, psycho men are supposed to be freaky, but it gives me a nasty impression. Even if thats one of the many ways that kanji can be translated. Really, which would you fear more? Crimson or Red Lotus Alchemist...?
Also Barry and no. 48 are both featured in the original version.
Its mostly because I wanted originality over America's 'doofed' version I always buy the Japanese manga as well as the translated manga..
