That recent tidbit about missing a block intentionally to injure Scott Mitchell is mighty fucked up though. He's always sounded a bit goofy, and seems likable. I don't know if he ever says anything really worthwhile though.

Shannon Sharpe maybe? He doesn't sound stupid, he just has a goofy way of speaking that I've always found funny. It's weird, because his brother Sterling speaks just fine. I'm not sure if it's some sort of speech impediment or not, but impersonating him among friends is always fun.

Look around you carefully. Strain your eyes at the darkness around us... At the darkness around me. You said anywhere but here. This is where, here, at the border. Gathered by the winds. Those who have met their final destiny hanging between jealousy and regret. Those who failed, swept together here. You say it doesnt matter where. If you follow me, this is where you'll go. This is your eden.

Well, that my friends puts a lid on the Jets and Eagles season. My only question is which coach deserves to be fired?

Both. Andy Reid's been living off making it to that one Super Bowl that he lost to the Patriots for the better part of a decade.

As a Pats fan, I'm quite happy to see that the Giants failed to make the playoffs, and because the Colts (thank you, Andrew Luck) managed to beat the Texans, assuming we can beat the Dolphins, a first round bye is ours.

Andy Reid isn't going to be replaced by anyone better than him. I really feel that way. His problem is bringing in all these big names the last few years instead of focusing on the draft.

Rex Ryan is like his father - Good coordinator, not head coach material.

Well, it isn't his fault that Nnamdi and DRC have stunk up the joint since he acquired them. :P

Yeah it is. Name a big money free-agent acquisition that has worked out in recent history? Peyton Manning this year? But the guy is the best to ever play the position. Landing the big name in Free Agency means nothing unless it's a proven QB.

Oh, damn, AP ended up 9 yards short of the record, assuming the Vikings make the FG.

No record for AP, but playoffs are more important than a record.

Damn, I wanted him to break that record! AP is my favorite RB. I'm glad they beat the Packers. They totally deserved it.

While it's a shame he did not break the record, he still had one of the all time great years. Coming back from a horrific knee injury, leading the Vikings back to the playoffs for the first time since 2009, after going 3-13 in 2011, with no passing game to take pressure of him almost all season. He's a legitimate MVP candidate now that the Vikings have clinched the wild card. People will be talking about this season for a very long time.

A great game too, one of the more exciting this season. Especially after the crap that was on at 1pm here. Baltimore - Cincinnati and NY Giants - Philadelphia games both sucked hard.

A 130 - 92 lifetime record and 7 time NFC East champion are borderline hall of fame numbers. He stinks at clock management, and sometimes makes questionable play calls late in games. He is a good coach, though certainly flawed. He's been with the same team for 14 seasons now, it's time to move on, both for him and the organization.

Nobody flips a bad quarterback for top value quite like Andy Reid. Trading Jay Feeley, Kevin Kolb, and a washed up Donovan Mcnabb for 2nd round picks were major accomplishments.

The Eagles troubles began when Joe Banner moved to a more behind the scenes position. They have not drafted as well, handled free agency as well, or managed the cap well since he stepped aside. He never would have given Vick such a big contract after one good season.

Don't forget about the Pats shutting out the Dolphins in a rather boring game in the 4 pm timeslot. In the 1 pm timeslot, we had Eagles/Giants and Jets/Bills. I couldn't stand to watch either game. I didn't even watch the Pats game.

For me, he was an above average coach for a while, but then he turned into a mediocre coach who rode on his laurels. The Michael Vick debacle was a sign of a lot of what he's done wrong. The seven NFC East titles don't rank very highly in my opinion, especially as his teams were never SB contenders.

He got DRC for Kevin Kolb, although DRC became a flop.

The Pats certainly didn't get much for Matt Cassel, I think a single 3rd round pick for him and an LB, so I would agree that Andy Reid has gotten a lot for bad QBs, but that's about the best thing he's ever done.

Yeah, and that's all on Andy Reid.

You can't call him an "above average coach" and then say that statement. If a team was never a SuperBowl contender but still wins that many divisional titles then he's not just "an above average coach". It makes no sense to me. The mark of a good coach is coaching a team to success when it isn't expected of them.

Well, I changed it to above average coach. Originally I had it as average, but I changed it to above average because he was good at first.

In fact, I think that Andy Reid was fairly poor. In fact, even when he was expected to win, he never won. For years, the NFC East was just as pitiful as the AFC East.

I see so many people go on about the 7 NFC East titles and act like that makes Andy Reid an amazing coach. You know what? Sean Payton >>> Andy Reid. Mike McCarthy >>> Andy Reid. Tom Coughlin >> Andy Reid.
