    Ichigo's Development

One thing I noticed in the entire series is a kind of speech given to Ichigo whenever he meets some key people:

"You can't control your reiatsu.", or like how he's leaking so much reiatsu that it attracts hollows.

Hollows are always trying to find the most potent souls to devour on, and Ichigo happens to have the tastiest soul of them all.

This leakage and his fights with more Hollows also contribute to awaken the powers of other humans, like Inoue, Chad, many friends from the college, his sisters, almost like a moving Those with awakened souls also become a bigger target for the Hollows.

I find this interesting because the theme is also present in the The Sealed Sword Frenzy OVA, Ichigo is even chided because he can't control it. The same happens in Bleach episode 110.

Re: A very recurring theme in Bleach

I am curious if/when Ichigo will learn to control his reiatsu and learn other Shinigami skills such as demon magic.

Re: A very recurring theme in Bleach

i know a full formed Ichigo hollow would be dangerous cos all the times that the hollow has taken over the mask has only been half formed and i dont know if this has any relavence to the level of power he has but he seems to be unbeleivably powerful when he has the mask fully formed evan if it is only for a few seconds. what do you think would happen if Ichigo was able to fully master his reiatsu would he be stronger?

I think if Ichigo fully controls his reiatsu and learns the shinigami spells not only will he become stronger but he will have a chance of beating Aizen in a fight

Re: A very recurring theme in Bleach

I think the major problem with the Aizen situation is we're not entirely aware of the nature of his power. We dont actually know how powerful he is, and given the nature of his shikai release, its difficult to tell when he's using his release's hypnosis effect, or when he's simply utilising the strength of his reiretsu.

As for Ichigo, he still has a problem controlling his reiretsu I believe, although I believe mastering shunpo probably gave him a considerable amount of control over the bulk of his power. The intergration of the hollow element on a more concious scale indicates that, as Silhouette said, his power is more dense rather than uncontrollable.

The notion of Ichigo learning spells is an interesting one, but probably a route that Kubo won't take. Ichigo is our archtyped hero with a sword, and unless he was completly unable to damage his opponent with his sword, he'll most likely never learn demon combat spells. The only reason he learned shunpo was because it relates more closely to melee combat.

I would imagine Ichigo could be considered somewhere between Renji and Zaraki in terms of Demon arts apptitude.

Re: A very recurring theme in Bleach

Well Vegetoacas, every single post you make is -the least to say- comprehensive....really really good posts.

However, we are not fully unaware of Aizen's strength. Aizen's rieatsu is double that of a captain level as he has stated himself and therefore it's at least double Ichigo's (we saw how GJ almost collapsed when Aizen raised his reiatsu). As far as the Demon Art, we saw how advanced and leathal Aizen can go when he almost killed captain Komamura. But very little what we know about his Zanpakotu like you said.

The reason I thought Ichigo must learn the Demon Art is to be able to fight on par with Aizen or at least counter his spells. Again as you said it may not happen but Ichigo's rieatsu must become larger than Aizen's then.

Re: A very recurring theme in Bleach

i think that whole tap explanation ishida gave kinda explained it. what others call leaking out might be just a trickle compared to the amount of reiatsu ichigo has. however its evident ichigo is crappy at controling his reiatsu, its probably the reason why he cant revert to a normal sword and probably why he cant control his bankai properly. its kinda a contradictory how kubo explains ichigo's reiatsu control.

    Ichigo's Development

Ichigo is very good in Zanjutsu and shows a lot of potential but y hasn't he shown an interest in learning kidou or hand to hand. We see that he can fight thus shinigami hand to hand would just improve on his abilities. Also Rukia is one of the best at Kidou and he has Yoruichi who is one of the best at shinpo and hand to hand. Ichigo should be unstoppable right now. He should also know demonic arts involving his Hollow form. He had vaizards training him who could use hollow kidou. I wonder if he ever thinks abt learning new techniques?

Re: Why hasn't Ichigo learned Kidou or shinigami hand to hand or Hollow kidou

and if he does, which one will he do first?
i would say its a tug-of war inbetween zanjutsu, or hollow kidou.
those seem the most that would make it even more interesting.
so ill go with zanjutsu. lol

    see the problem here?
we wouldn't have a series anymore or powers would much further get out of hand.
we have two "complete monsters" in the series already, aizen and yamamoto. that should be enough for now...
ichigo may go into a training session after the HM arc is finished and aizen has to recreate at least some of the espada...

if he really learns another combat style, then i'd go with some of hand-to-hand combat because his demonstration on how to crush vice-captains shikais at the beginning of the byakuya fight was just great and he already knows more than just basics of it ---> good base+great improvement if knowing how to use reiatsu in more freaky ways.

He's to lazy to learn or care just as long as he wins I don't think he'll get any new techniques
