vnmanga.com has gantz volume 23, HQ quality with everything.
Cover vol 25
First impression: I hate it!
I hate Kato, and he doesn't do anything against Nuri (oh well, he has his legs cut off...); he is just a lucky guy, the one who fires the last shot.
I can't stand Kaze, even if he fights Nuri and it fair he's on the cover; however, I don't like that expression.
That Nuri's profile...Just horrible...
And the most important thing: where the hell is Higawa?! He is the one who defeat Nuri, cutting him in half!!!
The perfect cover would have been "final" Nuri in the middle, frontal. Higawa on the left, katana in the hands and Kaze (with a better expression) and/or Kato (with the H-Gun, not the sword >.<) on the right.
On the other side...I hope to see Higawa (but I don't think so, he was already on the volume 20) or Nuri, maybe Anzu cut in half.
Well...i don't like it either...the fight of Nuri with Kaze was too forced IMO...breaking him apart again and again until the end when Nuri stops fighting him because he was bored.
*BTW is Hikawa (according to the Japanese version of the Gantz Manual )
Actually, Katou was the one to give the finishing blow. Of course it wouldn't have worked if it hadn't been used in combination with the sword and rifles.Quote:
I can't make out what's right to Katou in the cover, it looks like someone losing his head.
thats what i thought too at first but its actually kaze trowing a fist. and yeah this is probably the worst cover. it should of had kato with the h-gun and kaze
Bigger pic & Reika Sticker:
Ah! Now I see Kaze. I just couldn't notice his face in the small pic.
The drawing of Reika is nice, but isn't her hair supposed to be black?
thats what i always believed but some colour art of her has her with brown hair for some reason.
that is really awesome
Thanks to Heiji Sama.
It seems to me most Gantz covers lack sense of composition. Oku, you can't just throw in characters here and there at random to make a good picture.
See volume 26: three characters at completely different depths and heights, it feels like a copy-paste work. Not to mention Kato and Kurono have shadows in opposing sides of their faces. What kind of lightning is that?
There are nice exceptions however. Check the first volumes.
These pictures are really great. I mean kick ass greatI've seen most of them before but not all. Good job with the cover chapters too.
Thanks to Heiji Sama.
