Thanks Jammin, I'll check them out.
The way the thief character's story went disappointed me a little.

Doctor Sleep by Stephen King.
Just started reading this book yesterday and it's pretty good, so far.
Just finished the Two Towers.
Awesome read. Definitely leaves me looking forward to getting my hands on Return of the King.
I have to try and read Catching Fire now before the movie comes out though! I think it's in November.
I go for Return of the King first.
I'm really dying to read it next, but there's no way I could get that and Catching Fire read before November comes. My sisters and mom will want me to go see the movie with them, so I have to get it done. I have a pretty strict 'read the book before seeing the movie' policy.
will read Neil Gaiman's American Gods later.
Finished with Catching Fire in little more than a week. I definitely liked it more than the first one. I'm very excited to see the movie now!
I had always heard the first book in the series was good, and rest were disappointing
I didn't find it disappointing at all. I could barely put it down. The first novel is about Katniss competing in the Hunger Games and that's about all, but the second book is more about the big picture and what's happening in the rest of the world around her. I have a feeling that the third book will be even more like that. And it's funny because I've had a few people ask me, "Team Gale, or Team Peeta?" and I can respond "Team Katniss by herself without a man" because she can stand on her own as a character. Could have NEVER said that about Bella Swan. It's refreshing to have a strong female main protagonist for once.
Naw, this is my first time reading the Hunger Games series.
Although I read the first novel The Hunger Games around a year ago, I hadn't moved on to the second book Catching Fire since I had so many other things that I wanted to read. I needed to get it done though since the movie comes out this November.
Now that I've read the second books of the Hunger Games series, Lord of the Rings series, and A Song of Ice and Fire series, I can move on to all of the third novels. XD
I'm going to read Return of the King first since it's only 300 pages.
Never mind, I thing it was DD who commented that after you said you read the first book.
Urmmm I dont remember RoTK being that small. Are you sure its not a 2 part copy or something?
