I find A Song of Ice and Fire's approach on death refreshing. It's nice to know that virtually none of the characters are untouchable. It gives you a real sense of suspense and anxiety over your favorite characters. In a lot of animes or mangas it seems (and TV shows, books in general), it always seems like the main character is completely immortal. It's tiresome, even annoying after a while.
I still refuse to believe it... it's like, there'll be a way, that someone will be back
Accept the truth.
I'm reading at a snail's pace for Seven Basic Plots.
Due to the anniversary of the JFK assassination, I'm currently reading the Warren Commission online. I hope to read Vincent Bugliosi's book once the person who's borrowing it from the library returns it.
I just read a really good pair of 99c Kindle Indie YA books.
Devil Ash Days & Devil Ash Deceit by Mitchell Olson.
It was basically a shounen style angels and demons book. And I think it might be the first time I've ever read something where an author put shounen/anime-ness in a book and I actually liked it; they usually end up all exposition and no charm. I definitely had a good time with these though.
They also helped my wash away my hatred for Leviathan Wakes by James S. A. Corey (NOT a space opera).

Started reading Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman.
I've finished The Alchemy of Air (not great writing... but intensely interesting. This book would make an amazinggggg film, with the right director).
I've also completed A Storm of Swords. My favorite character is still alive, so I'm pleased.
Another book I've finished is Anthem.... Gotta say I loved this one.
I haven't watched TV in a month!
Forgot to say I also completed Of Mice and Men.
Steinbeck still ensures himself the place in my heart as my favorite author.
Any other Steinbeck fans here?

BY THE WAY. I JUST READ AN 1100 PAGE BOOK. YOU OWE ME LIKE SIX HARRY POTTER BOOKS BY NOW. I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU.
Okay, tell me who your favorite character is and I'll read the first book.
I like Of Mice and Men, even though I first read it in English class (which is horrible enough to make you hate any novel).
Well, I have that in writing, but I kind of want a signature at the end, just to be certain.
Guess who you think my favorite character is tho! I want to know who you think I love tho!
