Right now I'm reading The Seven Basic Plots by Christopher Booker. It's a gigantic book so I expect it'll take a while before I finish. It's nice to read non-fiction sometimes.
I finished reading Perks of being a Wallflower yesterday after a friend of mine insisted me to read it, I knew that a movie adaptation with Emma Watson in it was made but I still don't have enough interest to watch it. It's surprising that the novel is pretty dark for a teenage coming of an age novel. Especially with the subtlety of the ending, it's pretty messed up. Nonetheless, the novel is something that I could relate to myself, and maybe other dozen individuals, hence the reason for the attention it gets.
Le Mis and then Wheel of Time atm
I'm 70 pages into The Alchemy of Air. I left my book at work on the table (as always, since I read on my breaks), but someone took it or moved it. I can't find it anywhere. D:
So I started reading Ender's Game today. It took about 4 pages for me to become certain that I am going to love this book.
I mean, the book could very well be good. But Orson Scott Card is a well-documented douchebag, so I'd rather avoid his work in all honesty.
Enders game is absolutely brilliant. One of the best sci-fi books out there. I hope you havent read anything related to the film (especially the trailer) as it will ruin it pretty badly.

If you don't like they guy you can just have an evil chuckle about the fact that as a writer he peaked early. From there on it was a future of writing mediocre novels and being terrified of gay people.
Oh no, its not a matter of ruining an adaption, they genuinely truly ruin the book if you havent read it. Its like screaming about dumbledores death to someone who hasnt read past the first book. I dont want to say anymore, but that is an appropriate level of ruining that they engaged in. Just dont go near it until you finish the book.
But whatever, I've never gotten to the point where I've been conflicted about it. Just saying.
