speaking about speech class...I have an oral presentation for my Middle East class due in a few weeks....but I have a speech impediment
luckily I'm familiar with a few techniques, I've taken speech class before so I know I can improve somewhat.
speech is supposed to come naturally. i understand that people want to learn how to talk properly, but there's no real need for actually studying it...just do it, and you'll get the hang of it.
yeah I guess....it helps if you have the gift...but you can also get by with just practice and repetition..
oo nga pala, I remember there was a discussion a few pages back regardging half breeds, and I didn't get a chance yesterday to reply.
I'm full pinoy, and I speak tagalog fluently (although my vocabulary is limited).
But being in America for so long, my mind works in English, but I can easily speak in tagalog if I need to.
And also, I'm a little embarassed to type in tagalog because I can't spell tagalog words very well...I'm not used to it. I can speak it perfectly, but typing it, I need some practice.
@miyi- i'm not denying that practice is good, it's just that lots of people i've heard who arn't talented always sound preachy and tend to drag on...
you're not the only one...lots of my nieces and nephews that grew up in the US have a hard time with filipino as well. knowing how to speak is good enough.
fill in the blank:
To the president, vice president, academics head, teachers, staff and fellow students a nice day to you all. We are gathered here today for a memorable occasion, one that will separate us from being mere _____________ to genuine professionals.
help naman o... hintayin ko yung sagot... pwamis
students? i mean...thats what you and your freinds are right?
pede na rin...
i was hoping for something a bit more... grand.
well... if you use too much big words, the speech will become really really boring...always keep your speech short and simple. what you want is for people to listen while you get the important points through. long speeches prevent you from doing that...
yung ... ano nga pala yung mas magandang term para sa 'burden'?
problem...or do what i do use the synonyms tab
pabigat in english
actually di ako ga graduate... para sa speech subject namin ito...
np....good luck on that speech..
speaking of which, I'm sleep deprived, later yall
btw, I notice that the Pinoy HO threads are catching up to the actual HO threads in terms of versions lol
