the main idea is that you've got tunnels under the city that lead to key locations within the city. the tunnels have spaces in them which store owners can rent, and the whole place is basically just like a huge underground mall...
that's actually hard to pull off with the kind of geography we have, paperboy. Even basements are not advisable in the Philippines. Sea level, weather, and the calamities statistics. It's too expensive if it's that scale you described.

yeah...the main problem with being on an island... though it would prove to be a very big achievement if an architect was able to pull it off in makati...it would solve the big transportation problem.

then again, floods do come easy in the philippines, but as long as the place has enough functional drains, then it wouldn't pose a threat. it's "doable" but it's not practical...at least as of now...

I like Trinoma. But my profs have a bitter reaction when that topic's brought up. They're probably bitter they didn't get the project. >.>
ah... the posh mall for MRT commuters... ROFL!

concerning subways, it's not impossible, but improbable. nahahati ang luzon sa 3 fault lines....

that's so mean! I'm totally all for bringing up the place. Like what they did with cubao. Before it was a hopeless area. Since the addition of Gateway all the A, B, and C markets are put together.

And I think it's the same for Trinoma, and I like that about buildings. The important thing is that it should cater to the B and C, because I hate elitist architecture.

Actually Cubao is practical, because of its established trade route history. Trinoma, on the other hand, sits in the middle of a crossroad. Nobody from B and C who plans to shop will actually spend much transport fare...

There's already SM which has done pretty much the work for them.

And because it's such a nice place people really do go there. They take their families there, coz the kids get a kick out of the fountains, hehe.

    Re: Pinoy Thread v.9
