Shabrak, I think that he can and will be doing it independently from the anime. As, everything in the anime will be there, but the story itself will be independent.

And Bea Rabbit - the bendings will be prolly CG'd.

You mean that if he does good, it means we will get 2 more movies that MIGHT be good. If he does well I don't think he'll have any problem with making a sequel but it's too early to guess if he will succeed with it.

True true. As much as I would love all three books to have live action movies, if the first sucked because of some "twist", having more would just make me angry. It would be as bad as if Dragonball: Evolution got a squel

I'm really looking forward to this movie. The first 1 minute online trailer got my interested but I was still worried that it could get ruined after seeing what happened with Dragon Ball Evolution . Then I saw the first theatrical trailer and was still a bit worried. BUT NOW i saw the most recent trailer while seeing Iron Man 2 the other day and was A LOT HAPPIER. Seeing Appa at the beginning really cheered me up and the scenes they showed looked a lot more promisiing. Plus the wonderful news that it would be in 3D was also added to this trailer. After the last trailer I have a much more positive outlook on this movie and am itching to see it now .

PS: Has anyone seen what Momo is going to look like because I have yet to see him in any of the trailers???

I winder if they'll have Momo at all. He has no plot signifigance, and there is already the much cooler Appa to fill the cute mascot hole. If they feature Momo, I guess it'll be just for comic relief and merchadise sales.

I just watched the new trailer, and wow. I don't think it's going to be actually a good movie, but the fighting looks awesome. And that's probpaly enough for decent sales and sequels.

I wonder what they'll do with the last film, if they skip most minor characters. The coolest part in the last season was how they united under one flag, that's always cool, even though it's kinda big adventurefantasy cliché.
