Did someone hide a Hougyoku inside Rangiku?

When Gin is watching Aizen & his crew doing whatever it was to Rangiku through the bushes in the flashback, it seems like they are taking the Hougyoku from her body. What do you guys think?

I think Aizen fed his own Hogyoku with the spiritual pressure Rangiku had. The material was shining brightly right after the incident, so, that's how I view it.

Oh ok, it was never really clarified what was going on there. I watched the episode with that flashback right after reading the latest chapter and it hit me that maybe that's what was happening in that scene. Like maybe Isshin hid a Hougyoku or something similar in Rangiku.

Well, since Aizen talks of Hogyoku as his invention, it probably was just referring to the fact that only those with high reiatsu could be used in enhancing the Hogyoku's power.

I always figured he was lying, maybe I read too much Naruto lol.

I also wonder how much he took from those people. Did he just drain them of reiatsu or did he literally feed the Hogyoku pieces of their souls. Would Rangiku be a more powerful Shinigami if Aizen's goons hadn't done whatever they did? Gin talked about taking back "what was stolen from her", was he literally out to grab the Hogyoku so he could return her full potential? Hmmm...
