yeah, Aizen is "necessary" for selling the manga and Kubo keeping a job. Has nothing to do with the story.

Yeah but I guess it was courteous to avoid talking about recent events due to possible spoilers.

Too bad. we won't get to see the reason/truth behind Gin's peculiar behavior towards Rukia.

How do you figure that? I have barely thought about Aizen since he got locked up except for the latest bits when he is actually mentioned. It's not like he carries the franchise and I doubt hes even the most popular character.
    Meh

Yeah, that was weird. Someone once posted an idea about Gin which I think makes sense; something about how his whole story was about being corrupted by living his life solely to fulfil the goal of killing someone, which seems about right. He spent over a century following Aizen, involving himself in his devious schemes and killing whoever he had to all for the sake of one day being able to catch Aizen off guard and murder him. I could see how that would corrupt someone, assuming Gin wasn't just kind of 'off' to begin with, which I could also see.

He's an ass and wanted to mess with her?
Sure, Gin is lovable. But he's still a cold bastard.

Are you kidding me?. Aizen doesn't carry the series...?.

Okay, let's do some research. "research time".

Look at the sells of Bleach, during the "Arrancar Arc" between 2005-2010. After Aizen is "somewhat" tricked into being sealed by one of Urahara's "Marry Poppin, Kidou techniques", we go into the "Fullbringer Arc". Which by the way, had only one purpose, "Ichigo getting his shinigami powers back", which was obvious from the door, since Kubo had stated there would be two more arcs for Bleach. A short one (Fullbringer Arc) and longer, final one (1,000 Blood Arc).

Fact is, the series is not doing as well as it was doing, since Aizen got "locked up" and now, Kubo cops out and shows a few old, panel shots of Aizen and suddenly Bleach fans get bonerific over it and now, want to start reading it again. Or at least, remotely "excited" about it again. Fact is, irregardless of Isshin and Masaki's past together, Ichigo's birth or Juha Bach's little revolutionary war against whatever, everyone is just waiting for Aizen to come back and that's Kubo fall back plan, because frankly everything else is irrelevant and should've been revealed years ago.

That's the truth and most people don't want to admit that's the way of the series right now.

    ....continue.

Eh, this is the final arc revealing everything, doing the background story before woul have made this one flashback less dramatic and fitting into the Quincy theme.

Where exactly is it a cop out, if Kubo led Aizen said that he knew everything about Ichigo's life, that was a clear hint to him observing his parents too, making this flashback with Aizen in it in no way a evasive action.

Because of Aizen or the lower standard of the Full bringer arc? The story sells, no one is buying Aizen, their buying bleach, if the story lacks then the sales go down and people abandon the franchise.
Also people started reading again because this arc so far has been bad ass, Aizen has been on like 3 screens so far.
    Meh

Nice one asking about As Nodt's sex. I was mostly sure he was male, but now we know.
Should've asked if he was alive...... I bet he is but it will probably be awhile still until we get that confirmation. Someone should've asked if Kira is alive too.

Did I seriously just read a post saying Aizen has nothing to do with the story of Bleach? Your trolling.......right? Surely you know that Aizen isn't even one of the top 10 popular characters....right?

    Ohhhhh boyyy.....

Okay, first of all, in the last popularity poll Aizen placed 23rd. So no. Absolutely. No.

Yes, the Fullbring Arc made sales go down....here's why, and it's pretty simple. What did Kubo do here? He 1) took away Ichigo's powers 2) took all of the shinigami out of the story for a long time(the most popular characters) and 3) took out the Arrancar, which were so popular that Kubo had to draw the Arrancar Arc out A LOT.

It has nothing, NOTHING to do with Aizen. Aizen isn't very popular at all in the grand scheme of things, he just has some fanboys. Now, you saying Aizen returning is a cop out, you mean to say that the fact that Aizen didn't show his Bankai against Ichigo, and the fact that he was locked up, not killed, and in addition to all of the important details surrounding him, his connection to other characters and the Hogyoku not yet revealed, plus the Soul King or Royal Guard not appearing yet, was not a huge, huge, HUGE red flag that it probably was not the last time we'd see Aizen?

And actually, this would be a really good time for the Ichigo flashback, not back then. Simple reason why. Masaki is a Quincy. What race of people weren't involved in the Arrancar Arc? What race of people are involved in the current arc right now?

Sorry to inform you, but your "truth" is wrong. No offense man, but you have no idea what the hell your talking about.....

Re: Bleach: Tite Kubo In Germany 2013

Just as Exacta said Character Popularity has little to do with Sales outside of Hitsugaya.

    1. Tōshirō Hitsugaya - 8278
    2. Rukia Kuchiki - 7895
    3. Ichigo Kurosaki - 7829
    4. Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez - 4987
    5. Uryū Ishida - 4710
    6. Momo Hinamori - 4102
    7. Byakuya Kuchiki- 4010
    8. Orihime Inoue - 3975
    9. Izuru Kira - 3852
    10. Ulquiorra Cifer - 3751
    Aizen was 23rd

    1. Tōshirō Hitsugaya's Hyōrinmaru
    2. Rukia Kuchiki's Sode no Shirayuki
    3. Ichigo Kurosaki's Zangetsu
    4. Izuru Kira's Wabisuke
    5. Byakuya Kuchiki's Senbonzakura
    Aizen was 18th

Aizen is doing crap for the sales, it's storywise where he is near Omnipresent but in no way does he carry he series, IF we want to talk about that let's do so again if by chance Hitsugaya is gone.

And character popularity doesn't equate to what happens in the story either, just look at Hinamori or Kira.
