...Ashiya...How did you get from that mighty demon who fought so desperately and was acting so reliably during the prologue to this...mentally weak baby? >.>"
Sorry, I just find Ashiya's reaction to be the only thing that truly drew my attention in this whole episode (partly because I usually don't like flashback story and such... ._.") So funny how he was sulking so hard over how he fail to notice both Emi and their enemy approaching and couldn't even be of any real help to Maou-sama. XD
No big surprise with Lucifer. Anyone who watch the trialer can figure that much...Though I'd love to see how thing is in the next episode though... ._."
The plot development is really good. This is not a normal comedy show.
Though it is somewhat predictable that the enemy is Lucifer. I bet he killed most of the humans brutaly without Maou even knowing. i really doubt Maou is as evil as Emy thinks.
Let's see how the story keeps unfolding.
On a site node. It was so predictable that the landlady is from the other world too...

I've been loving this so far, although I have to agree with the rest of you that Alsiel going from a mighty demon general to comic relief is kind of disappointing for his character. He could be plotting things with Emi or Chi-chan every episode or something, not just being there for laughs.
He had been a temp worker.
i will be starting this series today
but i wanted to share a poll that i found on crunchy roll
Some people were saying that that's just fake though...but I know that it's at least true in Japan (just by looking at fan comments in NicoVid).
*actually likes Emi more than Chiho though*
Yeah, everyone's said it's fake.
Can't find another word so I just say it: The episode was outstanding.
The comedy and battle scenes harmonized pretty well. I don't know what the best part was... Ashiya going home to get his cape before he went to battle... Or Maou-san noticing he was only a side character...
The real enemy is the church though... Emi and Maou don't look like enemies and her friends think the same. Maou will change and he won't bring darkness to Ente Isla anymore.
Furthermore Lucifer will be added for even more comic relief.
Very good episode. Very funny, the animation was great and Chi-chan was cute as hell.
Seriously can't wait for the next episode.
Damn it, that's about what I had to say, Sky. Well, at least you've said my peace this week.
I quite liked it.
"Take over Ente Isla now?" - Lucifer
"Nah, too many shifts at McDonald's and employee of the month is coming up soon. Maybe later." -Maou
I didn't expect this show to be as awesome as it is. Looks like Lucifer discovers reddit in the previews or something, he sure is content with that computer.
Indeed, they show is way better than I imagined. The action (which is really well-animated) and the comedy mix together so well, the episode was plain awesome.
Btw. anyone here who enjoyed the real OP as much as I did? Alshiel doing the laundry like a boss, Emi flying around with her angel wings, Maou reminiscing about his past definitely the surprise hit of the season
